Wasn't something like this done before... Green T-shirts left on the seats at lansdowne or something!!
Well anyway I'll be sporting my jersey and singing my heart out either way, that's if I get a ticket!!

given its november people cant be relied on to wear their green jerseys. the only way this will work is if t-shirts or similar are handed out to put over your jacket etc.

also, if there are green cards to be held up as the teams come out i would suggest they are made of plastic or similar given that the last time we did this with cardboard it resulted in hundreds of paper airplanes being thrown onto the pitch

Ya, t-shirts would be a good idea, though plain green would be a lot better than having something printed on them from the same genius that brought us "Irish Rock, Swiss Roll" at Landsdowne Road!!
The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.

Roy Keane is still a pri*k!

I think they should... The french had a replica shirt in 2004 and the germans had one against russia in moscow the last day!!
It would be good to see something like that draped across the canal end before kickoff, probably wouldn't work in the Hill with the french fans being in there too!

It would look impressive if it was anything like the South Koreans during the World Cup.

They had the simple Red Cotton Tees with a slogan "Go Reds" or something similar and everyone, I mean everyone was wearing them - Airline Stewards, McDonalds staff, Hotel staff, Train Staff plus all the joe blogs going about there daily business - It looked great.
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

"No, I drink to help me mind my own business....can I get you one? (c) Ronnie Drew

60,000 green scarves (top&bottom tier). Surely someone like Carlsberg could commission this? Ideal for them...a Carlsberg scarf with 'Ireland v France. World Cup Play Off November 14th' in small writing on one or both ends to mark the occassion.

Nothing looks better than a whole stadium holding scarves aloft or even better swinging them in unison above our heads.

id say everyone going to the match will have some sort of Ireland scarf at home from over the years. just have to encourage them to bother to bring them to the match

Lads hopefully you all saw the launch of this campaign on Friday's 6-1 news. It was also featured on the front page of Saturday's indo and there was a picture in the Mirror too.
There was a radio interview done on Saturday with a dublin station and there is more to come. Great stuff.

The KOP end at the United game last wkd looked class on TV with all the red scarves being waved in the air, we should try and get the same effect going.

maybe this could be the simple message to get accross? just get fans to rummage around their house and find an Ireland scarf to bring along and hold aloft. i just cant see too many leaving their overcoats at home for the night
