Great result. Well done to the lads. Shows its all down to having a squad capable of handling many games.

Think starting line up tonight was

    Kelly
    Kenderick Camano Rafter Keane
    Keohane Ryan Meenan Marshall
    Turner Doyle
Cash on for Keohane, McGoldrick for Doyle.

Stronger line up than the Cork setanta match.

I agree unclekev. Its encouraging to see a mainly second string team go out and pick up 4 points out of a possible 6 so far, great result. When our next setanta cup match ?

Great result. Well done team and fans. Could we win 2 cups this year? We were always a great cup team.

    just back now

thought the team were excelent. fought hard to get the win on a terrible pitch. all around the end line was just clay. no grass from the end line in about 3 yards onto the pitch. the grass was long and just terrible for football.

we played all the football on the day for me marshall, meenan and turner all played very well. with everyone else all doing a good job. ciaran kelly in goals was brilliant aswell. terrible crowd, about 200 home fans or so and 50 rovers fans.

good stuff out of Turner too. Delighted to see him on the score sheet, should silence a few of his critics.

Cliftonville were very poor. Any of their fans confirm if that's their usual starting 11? Meenan and Marshall were good, Turner unlucky not to get the hat-trick. Keane was strong too, he's improved a fair bit the last few weeks.

Cook wasn't even at the match, that's how serious we're taking this competition. Supposedly went to Ballybofey to watch Waterford instead.

Carr was in charge of this one was he ?

Can hardly blame him for wanting to do his homework on Waterford with this semi-final coming up, but surely theres a night Waterford are playing and we aren't ?

Just on another note. Now that the Goal Difference with us and Cork is level, what happens if both teams finish the group with the same points and GD ? it probably wont happen, but just a tought.
