because toms late uncles family want to close it down for the time being to get necessary refurbishments done to it.. It could be a long while when it will be open again..It could be a brand new pub under same owners or new owners or it could be demolished for flats! pity if it went as it had a presigious address called 1 main st! its the end of an era for eight years residency of section o there!

If they were going to sell it for flats they've missed the boat. There's enough unoccupied flats aroud the place.

after the match last night we went to Peter Clarkes last night which is a nice quiet pub..For the time being theres a strong chance it could be our temporary home unless things change in the future.. Oh by the way I was talkin to Alan Kellys brother in Spiral Tree last night after the match!!

Just joined the Fantasy league there now Gentlemen. May i wish ye all the worst of luck in it. I will give ye the tenner next weekend in Galway if it suits me.
Pity about John Joes alright. Still time waits for no man etc so maybe a refurbishment isnt a bad idea? The main thing i supposed we all liked about the place was that you were left alone in there if you know what I mean. You could have a nice quiet one or a quiet one with a few friends. If it gets done up then it better be in a Cuban style underground salsa bar, complete with shifty characters, scantily clad latinas & Tom the barman with a ponytail & heavy tan........
Oh yeah & a Pool table.

Entered a team using auto fill as I cant be arsed looking to see who to put in and wasnt allowed just give my tenner to the cause! Apparently half my team are crocked. Top of the table here I come.
