I am very surprised to see this being mentioned in the IT today. A bit excited, but also very wary on our behalf.
For what it's worth, Irish Mirror stated that they expected Bray to get the place too.

I assume there should be time (just) and it might create a little bit of interest as a "curtain raiser".
Mind you, if the IL club were the winner, how would it be received South of the border that there would be 6 NI clubs out of 9 in the competition (5 IL + DCFC)?
No one care about the NI/RoI divide I would think... It's between the leagues rather than the legislative bodies.

The playoff would be good craic. Someone ****e from our league against someone more ****e from your league. Could be quite the comic spectacle.

EG - only a handful of IL fans like yourself seem unable to get their heads around the fact that the political boundaries and domestic football boundaries on the island don't overlap perfectly. They don't. No big deal.

LOI fans see DCFC as an LOI club, and rightly so. Thankfully, so do a lot of IL fans - particularly those who can see past a theoretical border on a map.

Regardless - doesn't matter how many sacrificial IL christians get thrown into the Setanta collisseum, all bar at least one of them would still be shredded by the lions of the LOI...... (I'm feeling all Spartacus at the moment)....

Wouldnt mind swaping Glens for Linfield always wanted to go and watch Bohs play in windsor park but the Glens would of been the 2nd team up north that I wanted in the group.

Roll on the end of August

Can see the FAI spinning the old fudge about it being an invitational tournement and letting in Shams or somebody else. They should allow Bray a crack at it as they would not come across to many big pay days.

Can someone explain this one to me please ?

    Bray ?
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

Highest placed non-qualifying team from last year's LoI apparently.

Top five all in, so Bray are next.

Yeah can someone explain it to me aswell ?

i'll be honest, we are shocking at the mo and would be a bad advert for Irish football if we where to enter it, we have no f*cking team and were loosing players by the day.

Unless we bring in 4/5/6 players by the time the window closes then we should not enter it if we are invited.

How much does each club roughly get for playing in it ?

Edit - Cheers for that Stu. So if Cork do go under then Bray are in, very interesting indeed. I can still see the FAI coming up of a wa not to allow us into it and putting Shamrock Rovers in ahead of us.
