Saw the Hangover last night, absolutely hilarious, haven't laughed so much at anything else this year.
totally recommend it.
I'd agree with that, though the experience of the film was ruined for me by an audience stacked with mouth-breathing arseholes.
Saw Fermat's room last night. I'd recommend it to anyone who finds simple math puzzles diverting. Moderately effective as a horror/thriller, and just different enough to be worth a look. In Spanish, but subtitled.
You can't spell failure without FAI
saw seven pounds with will smith last night, didnt know what was going on for a while, was potentially a great story but poorly told imo.
watched taken after that, really enjoyed it, some of the fight scenes were a bit unrealistic but a good film, with a happy ending!!

I went to see the Hangover and it had a few laughs (stun gun bit) but it was not as funny as I expected it to be. The trailer has a lot of the best bits which is a shame because the Tyson cameo was funny the first time around. 3 out of 5. Not a patch on Very Bad Things and Swingers (both Vegas 'buddy' movies).
The Wrestler - after all the hype I was expecting more. Still worth a watch for Mickey Rourke's performance but it isn't a 5 star movie. Very strange movie for Aronofski to make considering he has made Pi & Requiem for a Dream. Way too commercial! Another 3 out of 5.
Hopefully I'll get to see Salvations this week. Has McG ruined it? I re-watched the first 3 Terminator movies in anticipation...........the first two were excellent but I forgot how bad T3 was.
Gran Torino - despite some prro acting from the support, a good film. 3.75/5
Zack & Miri Make A Porno - pretty dire but there are a couple of laughs. Seth Rogen and all the boob shots save it. And Elizabeth Banks is hot. 3/5
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Saw The Hangover. It's very funny in parts but not as wall to wall hilarious as the reviews would suggest. The lad who plays the character Alan is brilliant though. 3/5 for me.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Watched Wedding Crashers again. Probably the best of the Vaughan/Wilson films.
Under Siege 2. Subtle and understated. A commanding performance by Siegal. The film never descended into melodrama or cliche.
Rented "into the wild" last night, it's a couple of years old but if you haven't seen it it's worth getting out, bsaed on the true story of a college graduate giving up everything to live in the Alaskan wilderness
one of those rare occasions where the film is as good as the book. Emile Hirsch was very good as was the Eddie Vedder soundtrack.

The gf gave me Into the Wild on dvd, excellent film.If you go into youtube and type in "magic bus alaska" you will find a good bit of footage from ppl who have visited there. And to think if he had just kept walking down the river there was a safe place to cross where he could have gotten better food(no,there wasnt a supermacs/starbucks) and so wouldnt have had to eat those berries.
Im going to see Transformers 2 now in awhile, will let ye know what its like.
Seen Transformers 2 last night. It kinda dragged on a bit as was nearly 3 hours long. Some of the support characters were VERY annoying but the fight scenes, the battle scenes, the sound they make when they transform made the kid inside me very happy.Overall a very good effort. My major gripe with the first movie was too much talk not enough action, this second movie put that right
.Sometimes you just want a movie where you can turn your brain off going in the door, this is one such movie.Very good effort as i said.8/10.
Watched Rushmore again last night. I think it's a really good film, even though the whole thing seems a bit too hard to believe at times.

Saw "Let the Right One In" a while back now and enjoyed every minute. It's a compelling, utterly unique, atmospheric, touching and genuinely creepy vampire film. One of my favs of the year so far.
