I saw Fast and Furious last weekend. It just blew me away.

After the previous 2 films I was not expecting much.
This film reteams Paul Walker and Vin 'Legend' Diesel. It was great to see these fantastic actors on screen again.

One of my most favourite parts was when Vin Diesel said

"It starts with the eyes. She's gotta have those kind of eyes that can look right through the bull****, to the good in someone. 20% angel, 80% devil. Down to earth. Ain't afraid to get a little engine grease under her fingernails"

I was nearly in tears. This was a guy laying it all on the line emotionally. The scene higlights that there is much more to Vin's character than muscle and dope driving skills. It also vindicates the claims that Vin Diesel is the Al Pacino of our generation. Notewothy too is Paul Walker's performance - he shares the screen majestically with Vin.

The action sequences are revolutionary - The first 10 minutes will redefine the way action sequences are shot for the next 5 years (in the same way that the matrix did).

It's only Apirl but this is an early contender for film of the year. Next years's best actor oscar is Vin Diesel's.

Roll on Fast and Furious 5.

He may be. It is, however, one of the better satirical posts I've read on here in ages. Someone else beat me to nominating it for POTM.

    Knowing:

In a nut shell if you like Nic Cage you'll like it, otherwise keep away.

Good plot about a time capsule buried for 50 years and well worth a Dvd rental as opposed to going to see it.

Watched Che Pt. 1 again last night, excellent stuff (especially if you've read his Reminiscences of the Cuban Revolutionary War.) Part 2 wasn't as good.

I saw 50 Dead Men walking. Not bad worth a look but not revolutionary in anyway. I also saw the Damned Utd before that and it was not as good as I thought it would be although Sheen is very good as Clough.

Haven't seen it yet but Sheen's a great actor. He really seems to have studied all the characters he plays and captures their eccentricities and tic but importantly, without his performance becoming parody.

Saw Gone Baby Gone for the second time last night on DVD. If anything I enjoyed it even more, some of the performances are top quality. Is this one of the most underrated movies of the past couple of years?

Sweet jes*s, I do hope you're being sarcastic. Saw the 1st and 2nd Fast and Furious, 1st was ok 2nd was awful and form the reviews and trailers I've seen or read this new one is at best on par with the first. Vin Diesel is an average actor at best, the best film he was in was saving private ryan in which he only had a minor role, more or less every other of his films were action or car movies the invloved very little acting skills. As for him being the Al Pacino of our generaion, you have my nomination for stupidest foot.ie quote of 2009

I'd say the most foolish, rather than stupidest...
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!
