Cheers, any sign of George O'Callaghan?!

Would love to read a report on the match as up to now we just got a mixture of snippets and discussion on who scored the goal. Again the Sligo Rovers Official Website are reporting on the Longford Town match, would expect them to be more up to date, it does not take long to sit down and type in a report on the game. Supporters have been great over the last several months supporting the club and surely the least the club could do is keep us in the picture on upcoming matches and reports on matches played. This forum is trying to keep people up to date with info but a lot of it is guess work without solid info from the club.![]()
Dundalkfc.com has a mini report and our team last night, says Chris Turner scored the cracker!

Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Both Keane and Holmes had solid if unspectacular games and were definitely the most impressive of the newcomers on show.Well how did Alan Keane do lads?
Parkhouse and Morrison will have to improve a lot if they are to make an impact on the team but too early to judge them yet.
Turner's strike was first class but Brush should have done better. Peers was excellent as always.
Overall a very poor performance and a poor game which was not helped by the glut of substitutions made by Rovers in the second half.
Most of the young lads that came on showed some promise but for me the pick of them was Noctor at right back, don't think he gave the ball away once and was very comfortable on the ball.
Have to agree with all of the above.
Especially about Peers and Noctor.
As for Morrisson and Parkhouse, they werent great,
but when Butler first came he didnt set the world on fire either
and he turned out to be an excellent signing.
They probabley need a couple more games under their belt
Very poor performance for me. Fitness levels looked poor and as said previously, Dundalks fitness seemed far better than ours.
To be honest, I really did think there would be a bit more of an attendance than what there was. Seems a lot on here didn't bother there arse going?
Noctor and Shlingermann (I think that was his name) were the two who really impressed me. Noctor has improved vastly since I seen him play last season in the A League. Shlingermann made a few good saves, although his size is a bit worrying. Both seem good prospects for the future. Turners goal was top class, I'd still welcome him back to the Showgrounds anyday. Parkhouse was ****e, didnt get stuck in, didn't win one ball in the air. Some target man. Morrison, Keane or Holmes didn't really make any impression on me. Nearly sure I seen Ciaran Kelly warming up as I came in.
I just hope now that come Friday, the team will be more used to playing with each other and give an overall better performance.
Do you think that the size of the crowd would have been increased noticeably if everybody on this forum went to the game?
There's always a poor attendance at League of Ireland pre-season friendlies unless a "big name" club from England is on the ticket, even the Dublin clubs will tell you that.
if i could i would have attended if only to see if Xano and Fatso turned up!
Haha good to hear that mental Mickey collins hasn't lost his touch I'd say theres a good chance that he will have the worst disciplinary record in the league this season![]()
