Lads what is going on with Newmarket? They're the champions but they're just not doing it this season. surprisred they got thumped 5-1 by bunratty in munster junior today. skinny had a howler for one of the goals and they missed a penalty straight after but you cant blame skinnys mistake for a 5-1 loss. thought it strange to see liam murphy playing left mid since hes a fine full back? great win for bunratty though played very well and will be even happier with avenue going down in o'briensbridge.the B team rounding off the day with a comfortable 3-0 win also.

think the champions should have added 1 or 2 more signings than they did in the off season but didnt. i mean come on signing niggles from rock wasn't going to do anything, the strikers they have are all better. no disrespect to the lad but he's around 30 or 31 and wasnt in good shape fitness wise, playing him centre mid was ridicolous.

League has quite a few contenders at the moment, long way to go though!

Yeah surprised to see Newmarket lose so bad yesterday. Big difference in effort and heart from the Newmarket team that got 3 lg points down there a few weeks back. Nothing went right yesterday really and 5-1 might have flattered Bunratty a bit considering Newmarket missed a penalty and Bunratty got 1 maybe 2 very soft goals.

Good Bunratty performance though and with a bit of improvement on consistency will be thereabouts at the end of the season.

Was I seeing things or did the Newmarket manager resign fully from his position with 20 mins to go yesterday????

    Bunratty 6 4 1 1 15 6 9 13
    Avenue Utd 6 4 0 2 18 10 8 12
    Lifford 6 4 0 2 17 10 7 12
    Rineanna Rvs 7 3 2 2 12 7 5 11

Alot of messing at the rovers match I hear - scheduled for Lee's road - and switched Sun am to the Fairgreen - very amateur by the Clare league - CousinSil - see ye're down to play rineanna on Sunday next at 14.30 - great planning by the clare league again , both temas from the same parish and NOF playing the count final - where's the thinking ???

would be a very strange decision so early in season... but then again we don't know what happened to cause this ..could only be heat of the moment row..

Yeah there was a heated exchange between a player substituted and a collection of water bottles... Spur of the moment stuff that I;m sure will be sorted before the MSC game Saturday.

As for Rovers vs Rats Sunday... You would have to say its not the best time for a parish derby game in fairness...

Thats a very small league table

It wouldn't have anything to do with Newmarket having a game in hand on Rineanna, would it now, and if Newmarket win that game in hand they go ahead of Rineanna. Anyway, here is full Table.

    P W D L F A GD PTS
    Bunratty 6 4 1 1 15 6 9 13
    Avenue Utd 5 4 0 1 16 6 10 12
    Lifford 6 4 0 2 17 10 7 12
    Rineanna Rvs 7 3 2 2 12 7 5 11
    Newmarket Cel 6 3 0 3 9 11 -2 9
    Bridge Celtic 5 1 3 1 9 10 -1 6
    Burren Utd 5 1 2 2 6 10 -4 5
    Bridge Utd 4 1 1 2 5 11 -6 4
    Corofin Harps 6 0 2 4 7 19 -12 2
    Moher Celtic 4 0 1 3 5 11 -6 1
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

i have been folowing the clare junior ever sincw i can remember, i make as many games as physically possible, but i am begining to see wat the point is any more, went to the bridge avenue match and can honestly say how it is possible these referees are allowed and its been happening all season, its disgraceful, 2 early bridge goals a penalty (clearly not) and a goal that according to bridge themselves was at least 6 yards offside and then a sending off for nothing, heres an idea 10 teams in the league right, play summer ball(let the gaa players **** off for themselves) 5 games a week, a different game each niote of the week monday to friday, release a full list of fixtures, so every1 knows who when and where they are playing and pay martin o brien(and bring in someone else from limerick) a good weekly wage to do all the games. this will improve the standard, the pitches will be in better condition, and football will actually be played because the gaa head thumpers wont be around.

would not be the first time or last time players and water bottles have had a disagreement.. would imagine any probems will be sorted out after everybody calms down and get on with the football...

clare league are always looking for new refs & ideas .. would you be intrested in becoming a ref.. we have all had goes at refs on here even when i played there were some terrible refs .. but you just have to get on with it .. in fairness they are doing their best and without them ( bad or not) we would have no soccer in clare at all .. p.s. what would you class as a good weekly wage to get abused / sworn at 3-4 times a week for 90 mins ..

They'd prob have a better chance of getting more people to ref if they actually held the courses in Clare. Was half thinking of doing it but it was on in Kilmallock in Limerick so i decided not to.I could have been the new Paddy Dunne

apart from o'brien, sutton standard bearers one or two to a lesser degree are ok but some of the rest are shocking. why would u do it. is it for the love of the game? how many refs actually played soccer and have basic knowledge in it and its passion? you are held accountable for anything the ref writes in the report no matter how wrong, who holds them accountable? would the €48 that muppet got on sunday have any thing to do with it??????????????????? yes a handy €48 for 1 and half hours work. 3 or 4 games a week just short of €200 a week. so is it too much to ask that they are made improve. bo hoo the poor refs my arse.
if so p***ed off contact clare league through your club to complain .. on my previous experience wasting your time and refs then get the hump ye complained on one of them .. i don't know what can be done always have been terrible refs and not only in clare league .. 1 question a lot of ex players out there doing nothing how come not so many want to become referee's ... i have experienced same as above and a lot worse .. yes it is a pain in the a*** and could cost teams league titles ... but honestly what can be done ..
