westport players are loyal to their club because no one else wants them, simple as that. the only player i know of that was asked to go anywhere else was danny scahill and he went to sligo,so how is that loyal????? loads of other celtic players get offers but don't go, there's a big difference between 1 r 2 of your players only being good enough and celtic having 20!!! i heard joe lawless was asked alright when he was involved in the irish junior team but he didn't go. who else is there???? none of them 23 players you named are good enough for senior eircom league, far from it and the only players that are leaving us are players to play in the u-20 league, no older lads!!!! it's only goin to be good for celtic because most of the lads that are gone, got a taste of eircom league football last year in which they did very well and when they come back to celtic they will have even more experience at a higher level. the under 20 league is better than the super league, way better football!!!

Played against ye're players who went to Sligo Rovers, their not great and not up to the standard. They didn't even stand out against us playing for celtic B...
There are abut 5 or 6 players in the current Westport team who could play with an eircom league team, dont be jealous, be realistic, you know thats true. Cameron, Geraty, O'Malley, Scahill, Lawless and McHale. All would walk into Galway or most eircom league teams...not many celtic players would make the westport team never mind eircom league, FACT...

2. Because they like playing for Westport and maybe cant give up their career to get paid f all to play in the eircom league!!
3. Im not from Westport and dont play with them so why would I give them bias over Cetlic? In fact id like to see Torphy do well as I am from Louisburgh but he's not good enough, too small, not physical enough and isn't the best passer of the ball either! Fallon is ok but nothing special when I played against him either. If ur eircom league standard you boss games in the premier division and show up to be a class above everyone, he didn't so theres the proof.
4. Asking me a question like that proves you obviously think your great, who have you played for/managed/coached? I play for Fahy, have played for a few other teams on my travels at a decent standard.

3.Im not saying you are from westport,but you have a bias towards them.Eoin is a good footballer for his age and was capped at u 14 International level,anybody can have a bad game.danny is just 17 if he is and that lad has made great strides this last yaer or two,and from my point of view can have a career in the league of Ireland if he wants it bad enough

Westport are a decent footballing team,but please do not make them out to be superstars.They have some very Exceptional footballers.I need not say anymore.Ill always be fair here and will stick up for whats right,and what you said about those two players,ex westport players at that,was out of order
I would personally put Dave Horkan at the top of that list GoodFootball, absolutely gifted player who has been asked to play at a higher level a few times but didn´t take up the offers. May not have the dedication for that level but would walk into the Galway team if he put his mind to it.
Ballyheane have never had so much attention! Why not just start a Westport V Castlebar thread. Also 1924 and 352... did it ever occur to ye that you´re the only one´s getting upset here? Ye fairly rise to the bait when it´s put in front of ye....

When the westport lads I mentioned were 17,18, 19 they were starring for Westport in winning the super league! Have Fallon and Torphy yet? Nope. Also them lads were on the Mayo Oscar Traynor team playing most games...

And one or two of the players mentioned only played when they bothered to turn up for the oscar traynor!
Danny was a regular at the end of last season for castlebar at 16,no he has not won the super league yet.Give the lad time

is that the same lads that lost in the quigley cup final to celtic when they were at that age group???? it was also a celtic team with 4 under 16's playing against these so called superstars, to be honest celtics team was made up of a few players who hardly even played football!! i don't see how you can think they were so good then so...... explain that please!!
