Supporter Social Clubs

Just wondering do many clubs have "social clubs" - bar with swipe card entry, annual membership, pool/snooker tables, watch live matches and videos of matches, hold meetings etc.

They seem like a great idea and an ideal way to create and organise support and revenue as well.

I dont think any club would turn down the opportunity to run their own social club or bar, its just resources.

There are a few clubs who have members bars, Bohs, Cobh, Dundalk, etc.

It can be a great money spinner for clubs with a decent following like Derry, Cork, Bohs etc. I think a few clubs in the Irish league have social clubs. Most social clubs raise 300-400k per annum

300-400k wouldn't go amiss with up these days thats for use

Shels also have a members bar (or did - I've been in it a few times to watch other games as a guest of a member)

Going to a game amd poking your head in the door is a good clue. (Athlone Twn. + Dundalk FC this season alone. I didn't ask for a drink (alchol))(Fear is a factor). Out of memory, Ballymena Showgrounds.

Ballymena, Portadown, Glenavon, Linfield, Glentoran, Cliftonville, Crusaders, Newry, Dungannon and Bangor all have bars in the club grounds. A lifeline to many.
