Was just wondering about this. I presume not, but I guess its a bit of a catch 22 situation.
Like this is my first season of going to Eircom League matches since 2004, but I plan on going to all Eircom League clubs in European matches.
I hate St.Pat's though so I'm not going to watch them.
Yes I do.. They are representing the league after all. Plus you have to think of the co-efficient!
I might even go along to Dalymount to see Drogheda during the week. :eek::o
I want them to do well, until they are successful :D

Yes...........I even wanted Shels to do well a few years ago.
When we went on our Uefa journey two years ago we had fans from at least 50% of all EL clubs supporting us in Scotland and Paris. They were all made to feel very welcome and joined in with the 3,000 plus Derry fans who made the journey.

Mostly, bar Bohs, Rovers and Shels. Wouldn't like to see someone get too far though

I would follow others and have been to european games involving longford, bohs, drogheda, derry, shels and ourselves. The only way our league will achieve recognition is through europe so many people in ireland have champions league tinted spectacles, for example even though i dont support bohs people have already been on to me saying the league is a joke because we cant beat teams from latvia. I know we're a small country but with the young talent we have in ireland we should have at least one club who could possibly make it a la shels. Just look at scotland :rolleyes:

Always (passively) support them myself. I'd probably even wish Shamrock Rovers well in Europe as long as they didn't go too far (although I couldn't watch them play.)
I always shout for Irish clubs in Europe. Went to La Coruna with Shels a few years back with an other United fan. Ended up sittin beside ex Rovers player Eoin Mullen on the plane. Sound lad, had a few beers with him down on the beach outside Deportivo's ground. There were fans of most clubs there to shout for Shels, I suppose a Champions League breakthrough by any League club would give the league the respect it deserves.
Yep i like to see them do well, as the rest have said it's good for the league but i was :D when bohs got knocked out but still happy they got the win on the night last week
Nope. My feelings towards clubs in Europe range from actively hoping they fail to not really caring if they succeed

Yes I support all LOI sides in Europe & hope they get as far as possible. Even cheer for the Irish League side too.

Yep, always like to see Irish sides do well. The only exception was when Shels lost to the Maltesers a few years ago. Oh, how I laughed (for obvious reasons:D)
I support all Irish clubs, north and south in Europe. I hope they all can get as far as they can.
The worst result i remember was the 10:0 result a few years back. That was such an embrassing scoreline for this league. I can remember thinking that things couldn't possibly get any worse after that. Hopefully that was a turning point and we'll never have to ensure that kinda stuff ever again.
10-0? Are you sure? who were the teams? I honestly can't remember this or i can't remember any LOI team playing a big European team such as Milan or Madrid and getting hammered but maybe i am forgetting !:oQuote:

Our clubs did take some hammerings - Derby edged out Haprs 16-1 on aggregate (and that was an og) incl 12-0 in Derby. Liverpool put 10 past Dundalk. i think Tottenham put 14 past Drogheda over 2 legs.
We had some decent results too though such as Shels putting out Belenenses, Dundalk knocking out DOS Utrecht.
However recent years have been our most consistent. We need to at least consolidate where we are. Ideally it would be great if all 3 clubs progressed beyond the first round. However hopefully at least 2 will progress.
Pats were beaten 10-0 by a team from Moldova :eek: that is shocking (was not in Ireland if it was that season) That must go down as the worst league of Ireland result ever? Even Harps getting tanked (which i knew about) is better than this at least Derby came from a proper league.Quote:
