It was not disclosed to me on taking the statement so I do not know.

I presume the protocol in these situations is that the selling club gets the full amount and then squares off the previous club(s)?
The words "blood", "stone" and "harder" immediately spring to mind.
How much have shels made now in their firesale?
It will be interesting to see how all the ex-Shels players do across channel. Byrne has been put forward by many people as good enough for international football. If he scores regularly for Cardiff in the championship, will it warrant a call-up.
I would think Shels will have to win something (could be waiting a while for that) & then the FAI pass that money onto Bray directly. This seems to have been the protocol previously.Quote:

Got a text from a mate in Cardiff and he says the papers there are reporting a 150K sterling fee for Byrne.
Given Bray are due a substancial cut of the fee Mr. Byrne wouldn't be announcing a smaller fee in the irish media so Shels can pocket some extra cash...?Quote:
