Think few suspensions, injuries and maybe gaa commitments may weaken town for friday night but it would be great to see them complete domestic treble. Also i see Wexford youths won the Fai youths cup at the weekend a side who town could have beaten earlier in the competion so this is a superb town youths team. With regards them all progressing to the junior team, anyone involved in a club will tell you that history states that any given youth team will generally only provide 2 or 3 max to a junior side, sad but this is fact. it would be great if there was progression for this team to keep the group together. i see in cork, fermoy entered a second junior team where all the players were under 23 to stop the amount of young lads packing in the game in the town after youths level and it was a success. Cork City Fc u19s this year completed the national elite league and cup double and the club have now decided to try and enter a new team into the munster senior league to keep the group together. Its basically clubs thinking outside the box and it should be encouraged, there is no point developing players from say 7-18 years and then watch the young lads pack in the game.
