Game against Aisling was called off early in the week due to the Kilmallock youths playing Dundalk in the last 16 of the FAI. Kilmallock looked for an away fixture to keep the main field in top condition.
That makes sense. Good result for Kilmallocks youths aswell.
Looks like Kilmallock and prospect might open up a bit of a gap at the top, well Kilmallock anyway. The other postions still seem to be up for grabs.

Big weekend in this league this week. Here are my predictions
Aishling Annacotty 1 - 2 Caherdavin
Murroe 1 - 0 Knockainey
Prostect Priory 3 - 3 Summerville
Trinity Rgs 1 - 3 Kilmallock
Hope they go this way anyway.
Aishling Annacotty 1 - 2 Caherdavin
Murroe 1 - 1 Knockainey
Prostect Priory 3 - 2 Summerville
Trinity Rgs 1 - 2 Kilmallock
Once again all these matches will be tight. Nothing between the teams. The majority of matches have come down to who can dog it out and grab a goal.
trinity 2 kilmallock 4
Ashling vs Caherdaivn OFF
Ref didn't bother showing up, the teams didn't find out till 20mins past kick off time. had been told he was on his way to then get a call to say no actually he wouldn't be coming, had no excuse supposedly (Carling Cup final me thinks). Caherdavin had 20lads and ashling about 14 all togged out ready to play. Finally start getting decent weather and this happens
Looks like Killmallock are really pulling away now.
From what i heard another match in the morning had a ref no show, would like to know what punishment if any will be handed down to these guys cause in all fairness managment of both teams had been getting ready for these matchs from about 1 o clock or 9 o clock for the morning match, putting up nets coner flags and lining pitches and in the case of caherdavins match phone calls(4) had to be made to find out the ref would not make it to the match, could he not have got another ref to cover for him when he knew he would'nt make it or even a phone call to the home team, sorry that would have been too considerate to both teams. We are asked to show ref's respect which is proper but should'nt it work the other way too,
Big win for Kilmallock today in a local derby against a strong trinity side. Second time in a week Kilmallock came from 2-1 down to win 4-2 showing great fighting spirit both these games could have gone either way. Prospect also had a massive win a great result for them beatin Summerville 4-0 looks like a two horse race now but to be fair the way this league has gone so far I wouldn't bet on any one of the top 5 not winning it.
What was score in prospect match
Well to be honest ye were playing their A team, they have all signed for the b team which is a load of s##t, their A team were struggling at the bottom of 1A so they went to the B team ,if they want a trophy that much they can buy one in town and they dont even have to go out and play. Their A matches will never clash with their B match and if it does they will call off one of them, again LDMC are shown up as the clowns they are, to let Prospect get away with this
You hit the nail on the head grinder64 if you look at goalscorers on Limerick junior soccer web site you will see goalscorers for both A and B
Maybe thats the only way they think can beat Kilmallock to the title especially after last year, think they went unbeaten last year only losing one game and still lost the league to Kilmallock. A lot of original B players have left but too late to sign with anyone and they are p####d off too.
Any results from this weekends games
Trinity v Prospect 2.00 K O Driscoll,
Caherdavin V Cappamore 2.00 T Mannion,
I see trinity are down for the afternoon even though all their home matches so far are 10.30 kick off, reason being (i guess) prospect A or should i say B have a game in the morning, well done LDMC again for sorting that one out for them
I know when we asked the ldmc to have A team and minors on different times and all they said was if you cant fill the team dont enter them trinity are a good side they will beat them anyway
He says that the A team are playing in the morning. I think his point was that because the A team are playing in the morning they switched the B match against trinity to 2:00 to suit prospect (so there A players can play both matches) even though all of trinitys home matches have been morning kick offs. Just seems a bit convieniant that they sorted this out for prospect yet as celticfan says they where told if they couldn't field two teams don't enter. Should be the same for prospect. If they can't put out there A and B teams at the same time they shouldn't put the team in. I play B and a few of our matches have clashed with A. If we couldn't field a team it was our problem.
Maybe they will rest some of there "A" team players for there big game in the afternoon
BOTH Matches were off but Trinity did play Aisling and beat them 5.2 in Trinity,
Fixtures for 22/3/09
Kilmallock v Summerville10.30
Knockainey v Prospect 2.00
Aisling v Caherdavin
Cappamore v Murroe
kilmallock 2 summerville 1
Good result for Kilmallock. Kilmallock could have been 2 or 3 nil up in the first 15 mins then Summerville settled and scored with there first attack. Kilmallock pushed forward looking to level the game and Summerville looked dangerous on the break. Kilmallock leveled ten mins before half time when John Manning scored straight from a corner kick. Kilmallock started the second half the better team but a serious injury to Mike Collins saw him leave the field with a broken leg. Kilmallock then went ahead when Seanie Kelly took the ball past the last defender and cooly slotted the ball past the Summerville keeper. Summerville pushed forward for the last 20 mins but the Kilmallock defence held strong till the final whistle.
Aisling v Caherdavin off
