Derry's crowds from 1985 have been a welcome boost to this league, from a high and unheard of 10,000 back in mid 80`s they (and Cork City) have easily averaged the best and most consistent crowds around, by some distance.
Taking 3,000 to an away uefa cup game, granted it was only over the water, but this alone will tell you enough about their fanbase.
I always looked forward to the Derry fans coming to Oriel, hopefully next season we will be see them again.
Re Oriel - I heard last night the FAI will oppose Dundalk playing on a thurs night if we get promoted..............Music to my ears ! :D
