To all Junior Soccer Clubs in Clare & Limerick from Peter Webb:
Peter Webb is organising a fundraising event for Milford Hospice and Cahercalla Community Hospital on Sunday 24th May. Most people have at some time been affected by the work that is carried out by both of these hospices and would be aware that they must raise the funding themselves. It is with this in mind that Peter is looking for soccer clubs in Clare & Limerick to unite in one major fundraiser to support both of these worthy causes. There are more than 130 clubs involved in both leagues with some clubs having two or maybe three teams at junior level, and Peter asks that each club nominate two participants to run in the Midwest 10K fun run to be held in Shannon on Sunday 24th May. All of the organisation will be carried out by Peter and the committee he has setup and all you would have to do is register on the website they have setup www.midwest10k.com with the name of your club and the names of the people participating in the run. When registered they will send you on one card for each runner and further details of the run and hope you will raise as much as possible, with no amount being too small.
Peter has spent most of his life involved in schoolboy and junior soccer in both the Clare and Limerick leagues and having lost a sister and very recently a brother to cancer, both in Milford, he is attempting to return the incredible kindness and care they have shown by organising this fundraiser with the support of Junior soccer in both leagues. With a small amount of effort we can on a one off basis make a substantial contribution to this very worthy cause.
The CDSL would encourage clubs to support this fundraiser.

The €40 fine for 3 yellow cards was an administrative error. If you have already paid it you have been credited with the amount. You only get a €20 (4 x €5) fine with your 1 game suspension when you have reached 4 yellow cards.
Anyone interested in doing a CPR course should contact Michael Leahy.
