Think it was the other way round..8-2 newmarket 7-1 bridge...nonetheless a terrible performance from the whole team, heads dropped after the second goal. Was very impressed with the bridge. Anyway that's football!

Dublin will win it again this year!!
Newmarket 2-0 Shannon Olympic
what I saw was the hit the post/bar a few times with the Olympic keeper beaten. He also pulled off a decent save 1v1 (hit too close to him). Olympic did not change tactics and just tried to get behind the Newmarket defence to no avail. Newmarket worked the ball into some good positions and ended up hitting shots over the bar from the edge of the box.....
Don't know if I agree Newmarket could have had 3 or 4 more, they had all the ball and created chances but not 3/4 clear cut chances. Hit the crossbar from what would have been a 30 yard screamer from Colin Ryan. Olympic didn't create anything really but worked hard to keep damage limitation. Missing 4/5 players, bringing up 4 from the B team.

whats happening to ye below at Olympic ?. monk back to hibs / pa madden back to town / pricey to b team / gavin hayes ? and gary leahy has not kicked a ball for you in the league yet ?
cannot believe that the B team players above were called up for such an important game .. why was steve dolan / eamon o neill / jay regan / Ritchie hanley / conor Neville not called up all better players than the b team players ye had sunday.
The great Rineanna Rover were in the same position several times at the start of the PL - they ended up with the same spine of players - the legends like HK / EK / SK / NK / BK etc - Olympic need their players to step up to the mark and maybe off load the weight i.e RQ
The problem with having a B team is that it nearly always ends up be a ancor to a club rater that an support to the A team - B team players enerally dont put in much of a effort - more of a pub team scene !!!
Fair enough Ray - - - as for WR is he still playing ?
Olympic do have a full squad of players, it may not look it from an outsiders perspective but we are happy with our start to this season (not including the bridge performance). We never expected anything less from newmarket if we had got anything there is a bonus. As I stated at the start of season the goal is to stay up, our cup finals are the games against corofin, tage, lifford,Tulla and bridge celtic. No1 can help the fact that players get injured/gaa of if they are away. With the B team players brought up at the wknd I can only imagine them players were brought up because the B team couldnt afford to lose 3-0 afaik so maybe needed there better players or maybe the other players didn't want to I'm not
sure.

Add Add cheeky / leahey / dean power / Dougan / Ian hogan gives you 15 players personally i would not call that a full squad and going to struggle in premier with Only 15 players .. jamie egan / cheeky both injured now as well ?
I think Olympic should easily stay up , but it's a bad state of affairs that a club would allow players to refuse to play for the A team because they 're trying to win the 3rd div league cup, those lads are no good to any club , the A team manager should have first call on all signed junior players A or B , otherwise the club will never progress, well that's my opinion anyway.
I agree but as I said that was the only reason I could think of what happened other then that I haven't a notion so don't hold me on it :p
OG - we also have Gavin Hayes and Jamie Martin, 2 v.good players if they showed up to every game. Again you're probably right we need a few extra bodies there, guess we'll just have to prove you wrong and not struggle to stay up ;):ball: Think both Jamie/Cheeky are back this week.
Gavin hayes / Jamie martin not the Most reliable lads to turn up , and did Gavin hayes not refuse to go on as a sub last week against the Bridge !!! ... you will need Jimmy to go out poaching again for ye for a few new players ...
i hope you do prove me wrong and dont struggle to stay up and in case you think i am having a go at olympic see start of thread were i tipped ye to do well in premier and to suprise a few people ..plus it would be good for shannon football to have ye playing in the premier league as much as possible.
That Jamie Martin fella is gone back to town I believe..
