Think it was the other way round..8-2 newmarket 7-1 bridge...nonetheless a terrible performance from the whole team, heads dropped after the second goal. Was very impressed with the bridge. Anyway that's football!

Were the bridge that good? Or were Olympic that bad?

Surely you dont need to ask !!! - - RQ missed a penalty to go 2-1 up - i may be right on this player , move on RQ
I see the Oscars have a new manager , would this be a last ditch attempt for DG to win the Oscars in his last year as chairman ?

I think it will be a great appointment and with the addition of pat Purcell to the squad and the experience from last 2 years they will be hard to beat..

Either way it was a good save from John Mul, think G.Leahy would have been taken it if he was there.

two feet up. i met a newmarket lad at lunch time who was at the game and he said Newmarket clearly the better team but did not create a huge amount of chances ? but also said that Olympic never looked like scoring at any stage of the Game ..

what I saw was the hit the post/bar a few times with the Olympic keeper beaten. He also pulled off a decent save 1v1 (hit too close to him). Olympic did not change tactics and just tried to get behind the Newmarket defence to no avail. Newmarket worked the ball into some good positions and ended up hitting shots over the bar from the edge of the box.....

Two feet up . I am thinking now was he at the game at all or left early ? sounds like it could have been alot worse for olympic than 2-0 in the end .

Don't know if I agree Newmarket could have had 3 or 4 more, they had all the ball and created chances but not 3/4 clear cut chances. Hit the crossbar from what would have been a 30 yard screamer from Colin Ryan. Olympic didn't create anything really but worked hard to keep damage limitation. Missing 4/5 players, bringing up 4 from the B team.
