because
You stop getting used to somethign after 20 years of not doing much
So not 19 or 21 then
According to the Irish Times (about half way down) the FAI may not register new players until the old ones are paid, unless it gets close to an actual fixture and Bohs really want them to.
Quote:
Gavin said “it would be very hard for us to register new players when the old ones still haven’t been paid the money they are owed under the terms of the deal”, but declined to rule out the league registering them between now and the club’s opening game of the season, the refixed Setanta Sports Cup game against Portadown on March 1st – in the event that the matter hasn’t been resolved by then.
Why is there a sligo V Rovers bitch fight on a Bohs thread ?
As there's only so much crap you can say about Bohs before you end up repeating yourself, people just want a new target!
The quotes from the dept, in todays mail on sunday would indicate that this isn't anywhere near as cut and dried as Bohs would have us believe. Their quotes today would suggest that they have no immediate intention of giving up their charge on the ground, let alone be about to write a letter indicating same. Also suggests that they'd have to get a valuation done on the ground before they'd even consider this course of action.
Dn't suppose you have link for that?
sorry, no link. But its in the mail on sunday if you can get your hands on it.
dept refuses to give any assurances and a spokesmans for the dept of tourism culture and sports says the charge is not been lifted or replaced.
also interview with pat fenlon and the headline is "its a farce we are a laughing stock and there is worse to come" Im not to sure if he is talking about the league or bohs
I think he's talking about the LOI - Monaghan could end up league champions this season in a 3 team league - with Mervue and Salthill, though it'll be a tough fight!
Don't get my hopes up spud coz as sure as there is fudge in Dublin 15 we will be beaten to it by longford.
Heard tonight that Bohs have signed Rona Finn. Great signing if true. He was on trial at Wolves and Celtic. However he is doing a masters from what I hear and may prefer to stay here for educational reasons. Can't imaging Bohs being able to pay too much.
They're able to pay more than the other clubs who made him an offer. I know at least 3 did
Being 100% part time may be a factor if he is studying, we're training 3 nights a week apparently compared to Rovers full time training
Off topic I know but does Ronan Finn live in Maynooth? I used to see some lad who looks the spits of him down by the canal wearing Sporting Fingal gear.
Always saw Ciaran Kilduff around campus thats for sure even then he was always wearing Shamrock Rovers gear.
I think Finny lives on the northside somewhere; not Maynooth anyway (unless he's moved out since he was with us).
Would hope he's just joining Bohs (if he is) to tide over until a move to England in the summer; really silly move otherwise. You'd imagine players would learn by now...
good news for all you feather rustlers on this thread...

Bohemians can finally focus on their preparations for the new Airtricity League campaign after the PFAI confirmed that all outstanding monies owed to players have now been paid.
The Dalymount Park club had, at one stage, been facing the prospect of a high court winding up order over unpaid player wages.
However, those fears gradually eased as the club came to an agreement with players and today's statement from the PFAI marks the end of an ugly chapter.
The PFAI statement read: 'The PFAI would like to confirm that monies owed to former players of Bohemian FC have been paid today, Tuesday 22 February 2011, the last day of the League of Ireland transfer window.
'We would like to thank Bohemian FC and the FAI; Bohemians President Robert Dunne, the club's General Manager John Doran and in particular club Treasurer Chris Brien, FAI Chief Executive John Delaney and League Director Fran Gavin.
'Without their assistance this situation would not have reached a satisfactory conclusion.'
Must have been the proceeds from your glamour friendly last night.
haha! :)
All Hail Longford - Bohemian saviours! ;)
Red and black solidarity!
Deffo!!
Listen, im really sorry about the whole Stephen Kenny thing...
;)
Did the Dept lift the charge on the ground, or did the conditions attached to the a\c the money was in change? Not fishing or anything, genuinely interested.
Only in the LOI do people embark on a victory speech/ lap of honour when players are paid money they've been owed for months!Quote:

Have the cheques cleared yet by the way? :mean:
Silly boy skstu.
