ya sorry PP, he told me though yesterday that he wouldnt be able use the internet much, so i thought taht was the reason. sorry. :(
pa hope your ok. aldgate seemed to be less serious than the buses though fingers crossed.
I don't think they're completely down, its just that everyone is trying to use their phone at the same time. I sent a text to my friend and got a delivery report, but haven't received a text back. I think this is down to the network being busy, rather than something bad having happenned. All a bit unnerving, though. :(Quote:

Without going off topic, I which these so called experts when they talk to the media about whats happened will give the facts as they unfold instead of making up story's and talking garbage, just heard some so called expert talking about who may have done this has come up that it may be dissident Irish chuckys, as has been posted from Peader there are a few people on here who have been caught up in whats happened, and it has brought back nasty memorys. If these people don't know whats going on they should keep their mouths shut and take note of whats happening and of the shocking carnage instead of making up storys which just cause more problems for innocent people.
Dreadful news. Completely shocked when I turned on the TV this morning - I'd kinda forgotten that London was a very high profile terrorist target.
Mobile lines are fecked - trying to get in touch with various people. One friend was on what she described as "the bombed train" and was stuck in a smoke-filled carriage for 2 hours, and now can't get home. Am tempted to drive-in to give her a lift, but the roads will all be fecked as well.
Glad to hear all from foot.ie are accounted for.
Terrible, terrible stuff.....
well said.Quote:

I think he just needs to be left to deal with it. They are reporting aldgate as being one of the worst. I dont know. it just seems like there is more to come - I hope to god thats not true.Quote:

do you know what tube that was steve, cos i think that could have been the one b was on.
sylv well said. lets just wait and see. goes to show though how easy these things can be carried out. i mean right after the decision of olympics, just on the day the g8 main meeting etc.....i assume the bus must have been suicide bombers though, cos people are so wary of packages/unleft items at this stage? anyhow now isnt the time for this...
lets just hope no one anyone knows is injured seriouslly or otherwise.
good to see everyone off foot.ie looking out for each other.
The phones are fine, we've just got a couple of calls through from Ireland, but mobile's are broke down.
Buses inside zone 1 are all stopped, and all mainline trains are terminating miles outside London.
Me mam actually said the same thing when I phoned her asking about the London relo's (all fine thankfully). Wasn't all that long ago that bombs and bomb scares were that common that they were barely news in London....Quote:

News reports are suggesting it was an attach by the Isreali's
From Sky news
Quote:
Scotland Yard has denied reports they were warned of an attack by Israel minutes before the blasts.
no i dont think the attack was by israelis, rather that the israeli security forces warned that there may be an attack i.e. from al q....
If anyone missed it, CNN have just said police confirm the trace of explosives at one site; Tony Blair to leave the G8 summit and to go to London, but to return to Scotland tonight.
Based outside London, but what an awful shock when i heard about it on the radio. What the hell is happening... My younger sister lives in Aldgate and works in Islington and cant get through to her. really hope shes ok. glad to see everyone here is ok.
pauro go to breakingnews there is an irish number you can ring so people can help you find out etc. im sure she is fine, dont worry.
i know this isnt too seroius, but bridget was saying that they were stuck for over 2 hours in a tube in a tunnel with no airconditioning or nothign people sweating and sick and everything, hope that there was no pregnant women on it. can you imagine having to stand for that long in those conditons.
