yeah i heard that allright that barnes was back at celtic. is he goonna play for celtic juniors in the tipp cup semi against town. he was man of the match for tipp yoiuths up in dublin last saturday. he really is a class act should be playing eircom league footie. best of luck to carrick at the weekend. if its through about that earlier post of freebooters not trainin or nothin then carrick deserve it for all there hard work.
for some reason, ian barnes is ineligible for clonmel celtic in the tipp youths league, cup and fai , and is also ineligible for the junior league and cup but is allowed to play in the munster youths. as far as i know his next game for the youths will be the munster final
Good luck to Carrick in the Final. They were very impressive on Sunday. The first goal was definitely a foul but even at that Booters were lucky to get nil. The lack of training definitely told as did the sharpness.
fairview are really gonna have to lift it if they wanna win on sunday . 1 point out of last 2 games in league aint good form going into big semi. hopefully home advantage will see them through. theres no way freebooters got to the semi without a training regime. they would definately have been beaten in the last 64 when all top sides meet each other.

They play Village Utd. in the Munster Junior Cup Semi Final on Saturday.
Now what league would give their top team a massive league game wedged in between a National and Provincal Final ???, Sunday - Wednesday - Saturday ... crazy
Carrick through to munster final. the final against clonmel town will be some local derby. huge turn out on the day to be expected wherever its gonna be played. Clonmel town are goin for the treble they ve already won the tipp league and are in a tipp cup semi against cross town rivals Clonmel celtic where the winners will more than likely meet saint michaels in final . some run in to the season for clonmel town . i think theyve only lost one game all season. in the munster final carrick and clonmel will know each other very well only 13 miles apart. between the two squads theres about 5 players who used to play together for waterford in the eircom league. also carricks alan ryan used to play with town.Clonmel teams are goin for the double after clonmel celtics great win in the munster youths final. The first clonmel side to win it since 1993 when old bridge lifted the cup.from That side in 93 about five of them will be playing for clonmel town in the munster final 04. also in that side was shels ollie cahill one of the best players in the eircom league. hopefully these bunch of clonmel youngsters will acheive great things in the game also like team of 93. Fairview also in fai final. goin for three in a row . never under estimate the view :ball:
I must say having seen both Carrick and fairview this year..Carrick look by far the better team..the view bat a bad portmarknock team last sunday ...Carrick to win 4 nil in the final...how many ex LOI have Carrick??u are only allowed to play 4..why isent there any of them on the waterford oscar traynor team??they are obviously the best team in waterford
Three ex Waterford players on the team, but two of them lasted only one season. The most experanced is Brian Barry.
Carrick also in The Munster Jnr. Cup Final, they beat Village 3-0 in the semi in Cork last Saturday. A Cork reporter said Carrick were the best junior team seen at the cross for years !!!.
4-0 HOPE SO !!!!
why are they not playing oscar traynor though ??surely they are good enough...any ex kilkenny players with Carrick
Inter League !!! better ask the Waterford management team that.
No none of them played with Kilkenny FC.
Still think Fairview will have to much for them on the day, it there sixth fanal and just Carrick's first, they never got past the last 32 until this year.
Hope The FAI move the final to Munster, Turners Cross, Kilkenny, or the RSC.
Could be a record attandance if it played in Kilkenny or Waterford
JUST Heard that final is fixed for May 15th in Waterford UTd ground RSc..thats Saturday night ....Why dont they just play it in Carrick Utds ground altogether...im sure Fairview would not mind haha....
Would not mind !!!!!,
They want the game moved back to Dublin now !!!, runnin' scared I say.
They spend more time writing to the FAI then on the pitch.
If they get their way (again!!) it proves my point , well its in their name anyway.
FAI rview
Irisheagle....I think Carrick would be the same if they were told they were playing in Jackman park next saturday because we the Fai Tossed and firview lost...Fairview would be more than happy with a toss of a coin if they were represented there or even told before hand that it was happening...its the cheek of the FAI that is annoying the view ...it seems they just dont want them winning it.Not only the venue change but brougt forward to Saturday night at 7.30pm because Carrick had communion on Sunday the 16th...Fairview were not informed or asked about any of these changes just told...Remember The view have won Fai junior cups in Dublin against Portmarknock twice and against Ballymun...
Carrick are in the Munster Senior Cup final as well after beating Pike Rivers 1-0 on Sunday. Barry Murphy again scoring a very important goal following his goal last weekend which saw Carrick beat their neighbours Clonmel Town 1-0 in the Munster Junior Cup Final. :)
Poor old Fairview, all junior football supporters hearts bleeds for them. Forget all the above, fact of the matter is this Club should not be in the final. They refused to play in round one, if it was any other club they would have been booted out .. full stop. As for Jackman Park, Carrick's league headquarters is Ozier Park, they have never played at The RSC. Carrick wanted this game played in Cork were their supporters would be on top of the actionQuote:

Having said all that Fairview will still win this game, they are the best in the country. Carrick have done well to get this far, they have a panel of twenty all produced by the clubs Schoolboys section
Irisheagle...You obviously dont know anything about Fairview or Limerick soccer...The view did not refuse to play in the first round ...It was there then famed manager at the time Dermot Finnan who refused to play subsequently the players refused to play for him after that and he resigned so i think that shows th integrety of the players ...they just want to play football and also...you cant just brand a club because one man who is not with the club anymore was playing the politician...AS for Fairview winning ...Carrick are the form team in the country i think it will be close...too close to call for me
A one man call it may have been, but had it been a manager of a lesser club that club would have been kicked out.
Yes Carrick may be the form team, but its their first time in the final all Fairview's experance will swing it their way. Pike done Fairview a huge favour last Sunday their over physical approach has left Carrick with a host of injuries.
Would be good for the game if a team like Carrick who have came from no place this season, did pull it off
I dont think Pike would deliberatly do the view any favours..Anyway by all accounts Carrick are well able to dish it out so they should be well able to take it back..Carrick should adopt a physical approach against Fairview because i dont think they like a battle Pike beat them twice this year already ...too physical they were for them...Granted Fairview rested a few on the last outing..Fairview have a couple of injuries themselves Both Strikers are struggling and havent played in a couple of weeks
Pike do fairview a favour your having a laugh irisheagle your full of bad information
I would agree with that they shouldn't be in the final if the then manager had refused to play one of the top teams in limerick but that team are in the same division as fairviews second team they would have beaten them with 8 men - they deserve to be in the final
As for fairview winning, i would agree but it will be very very close as good as fairview are they do have injuries and carrick are on a role
i think an early goal for either side would make this game
