I'm sorry, are you claiming GUST is thinking about an application to the IFA? Or being sarcastic? It's hard to tell.
Link doesn't work for me.

That cant happen, No Galway United supporters trust are exclusively committed to the League Of Ireland.
Its just good to debate and chat about these things at our U19 games, It gets people up the Dyke Road and maintains interest. No harm in debate Galway United Supporters Trust have recently secured their own leased pitch, dressing rooms etc for training and development purposes and hope to be back in Deacy Park in 2013 latest 2014
I call bull****. No way Colin Murray has 19 mates.
Rumour mill on make up of first division. No reserve teams. 8 teams with Cobh added to current bunch.
do you know you don't have to give each post a title?
I was wondering about this apparent in-joke about "ally" there. Who the **** is "ally"? Then I copped. BED TIME!
spoke to someone at the club, no truth whatsoever to the rumour that Cork City requested to be able to enter a reserve team. Don't know about the Rovereses
Not a bad idea re-admitting Cobh. Also it would be two nice away trips + almost a derby game for Waterford to look forward to.
Load of s**te but what can you do. It was sort of expected.
For now, all we've got to look forward to, is possibly the worst First Division the league has ever seen. Yay.
It seems pointless letting Salthill and Mervue back in next year if there's going to be one team in 2014. GUST have every right to have a team competing next year if the other two do. The FAI are looking for teams, yet they won't accept one who has a ready made fanbase.
(Note to everyone- these views are solely those of my own, and not of GUST.)
I certainly think they should be entitled to apply for entry/ a license. If they then don't meet the requirements then they don't deserve to be in but if they do then let them in.
You say its pointless to let the 2 sides that are currently in the league to continue in the league so how is it not pointless to bring a new club in?
They have shown they are capable of keeping the show on the road by their running of the now dead Galway United is it?
There's no evidence however, that there's no application going in. I'd fully expect GUST to still put in their application and state their case for entry. They have no reason not to even if Delaney says so. The First Division needs all the teams it can get, and if it means one year again of 3 teams in Galway, then so be it.
