You're right. Swap Cork and Pat's and you have my bet.
I did that exact same bet. Cork to win the group but then Pat's were snuck in instead of Shels and won the group. :(
For the record I backed pats to win the group at a ludicrous 4/1
Bohs
Rovers
Cork
Derry
Pats
Rovers and Bohs neck and neck in the tally so far but I have not finished running all the models yet. Another week or too and I'll make you all rich again.
dundalk to win the premier :D
Bit soon to be running models when you don't have the final squad lists, isn't it?
Bohemians 7/4 Derry City 3/1 Cork City 9/2 St Patrick's Athletic 8/1 Shamrock Rovers 9/1 Sligo Rovers 16/1 Dundalk 16/1 Drogheda Utd 33/1 Bray Wanderers 100/1 Galway Utd 100/1
E/W Is 1/5 123 and their betting to about 117%
I like the look of Cork e/w at 9/2

8/11 Fingal
7/2 Shels
8/1 UCD
14/1 bar
Waterford each way might be worth a punt I reckon.
Boylesports still calling the league the Eircom 1st Division and Eircom Premier Division I see..
And they a major sponsor of the League too. You'd think they'd know better.
Fingal 8/11- go and ****e! If Waterford push out to 20s they'd defo get my ew money.
Both links down at the moment
Sporting 4/6
Shels 9/2
Ucd 10/1
Waterford 11/1
Lime 16/1
Mons 20/1
Cobh 20/1
Longford 25/1
Athlone 80/1
wex 80/1
mervue 200/1
9/2 Shels looks good. Monaghan each way too.
Must be a really bad standard if we're third favourites with no players. :)
Those odds are right IMO. Sporting will run away the 1st Division
One of the great myths of Irish football.
We sell players, sure. But when we last went down, we lost four or five players tops. At present, it looks like we'll keep two or three of last year's squad, and play our A Team apart from that.
I'd have given us third with Matt Gregg. I still think we can come top half, and that Shels and Fungus will walk the league, with the latter winning.
No idea. We scored a rake of goals in the A League last year, but the First Division is a bit of a step up. Dave McMillan (Evan's brother) and Conor Nangle were the forward pair last year; Keith Ward is a nippy winger who knows which way the goal is, certainly more so than Fitz.
Cork 4/5
Sp 4/6
Shels 9/2
Ucd 10/1
Waterford 11/1
Lime 16/1
Mons 20/1
Cobh 20/1
drogs 20/1
Longford 25/1
Athlone 80/1
wex 80/1
mervue 200/1[/QUOTE]
sorry made some mistakes in my first post
Shels at 9/2 is grossly overpriced.
Hey lads, there are any other bookie who have odds for First Division Top 3? Because I can't register me at www.hacketts.ie/.
Edit: Have found this here: http://www.boylesports.com/betting/i...&slm=1448861.1
Is this the same like at hacketts.ie? I mean, would I bet on a team who reach the first three places or would I bet on the winner of the First Division?
Yes, you can. This is called 'each way' betting, you can see 'EW: 1/5 1,2,3' in the corner.Quote:

Waterford do look tempting for an EW bet, I must say!
