Cynic.
Not sure 1987-94 counts as old, but it's old enough to be mentioned I'm sure! :)
Then again, if they're young enough to be reuniting, maybe its not old enough!
And, Atheist. Godlike!
Anyone fancying a bit of ska style nostalgia needs to get down to The Gaiety on Saturday night for Special Brew - a ska tribute.
Songs from Madness, The Specials, The Beat and even a few Clash and Jam thrown in for good measure.
I think they played at a one of our title celebration gigs or a post cup final gig - marquee at Dalyer. Any Bohs fans remember?
aacci-dacci, motley crue, iron maiden, wasp, poison all that good stuff.
recently returned from a trip from america, where they call all of the above "bar music" ah if only people had the same taste back home....

Thank god people here don't have the same tastes.
poison are **** rock/arena rock/**** rock, its a good laugh, just like motley crue, if you are out for a good night a few beers, something to certainly get you going is "girls, girls, girls"
*shakes head in disgust at some of the above bands*
Was reared on Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Bob Dylan, Beatles & Stones so they would be my kinda old stuff....if we are talking 80's Marley,FYC & Madness would have been my bands of choice.
Incidently my kids are named Dylan Robert and Jacob Marley after some of my fav musicians
Good call on FYC. In a 'rock family tree' kind of way, are you a fan of the Beat?
Marley (Bob, I presume) was dead for about 90% of the 80s.
Were you a fan of Jacob's Mouse?
Well I only got into Bob in the 80's when was bout 10 yrs old...back then i listened to what my older brother was listenting to or my parents....
Vaguely remember Jacob's Mouse....
No the Jacob part of his name came from a game of trivial pursuits a week b4 he was born....had liked the name Jake and Marley was always a contender (although if he had been a she it would have been her first name but a boy would get beaten up having it as a first name) The question was put to me by my then husband..."what was Ebenezer Scrooge's dead partner's name in Dicken's A Christmas Carol" I patted my tummy and said Jacob Marley and that is what we are calling him.
Turns out tho that Bob Dylan's son is called Jacob Dylan.
Wasnt really into the beat....fell in love with Roland Gift when in FYC & then progressed to being his stalker....ooops.
