fair play to real linfield and Derry fans last night! Momentous night in Irish football history.

Lads a few City fans have written to RTE over this article .... might be an idea to rattle on off, if you argee with it.

I have to say fair play to all the Derry fans on here.They say concentrate on the football and forget about everything else,which is what we should all do,even this threadd highlighting it im not too in favour of!!

Opened this thead thinking "Here we go again" but it really has cheered me up. Great to see that things are going so well in the Setanta, long may it continue.

Not so good to see our national radio and television stations up to their old tricks again, however. Pathetic.

I'm hopping over it actually, i might be a cynic but i think they loved having a pop at something Setanta were involved in. The only, ONLY thing they could pin point was this, lads .... i'm saying they put a degree of effort into this and that in my opinion is out of order.

I watched some of the game... thought the Teenage Kicks Chant was class :D

Tell me this lads, did RTE ever do many articles on Derry before so they are obviously trying to get a pop at setanta

Obviously worried about setanta snapping up all the sporting rights they can, and also in the papers today that they're one of the bidders for CanWest's share of TV3...

RTE did not cover ANY of the EL clubs games in Europe in 1996/97 season.
And they had NO OPPOSITION at the time in the market for the rights to those games!
