Trouble is Toshack would put you to sleep by the time he's finished the sentence. Needs a good jab from a cattle prod to get him going.
Other bad pundits include Ronnie Whelan (the master of the obvious and the ridiculous). Last night on "You're on Sky Sports" he said that Eidur Gudjohnsen knew it was Alonso behind him so that's why he fell over to get the booking for Alonso to put him out of the game. Much and all as Gudjohnsen may be Iceland's sportman of the year, even he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head or maybe he recognised his footsteps :D .
Anyway, just to remind people that Dunphy said Liverpool had no hope of reaching the Final, that Cheslea would score in both legs and that the Liverpool defence was hopeless. Whenever he is wrong, he blames the short-comings of the team he had predicted would win. If he's on tonight, watch for this when reviewing last night's game :D .
So it has been. So will it always be.
Spot on regarding Dunphy and it really gets on my nerves  . It's always because the team he tips to win plays badly that they loose. Never gives much credit to the the other team for stopping them playing well and playing good football themselves.Quote:

To be honest Lawrenson and Toshack came out with the same crap last night. I'm fast coming to the conclusion that there isn't a pundit out there that can admit they get things completely wrong. It's always the fault of the other team not performing on the night.
Just watching Dunphy & he defending his record by saying he predicted Chelsea to win the Premiership & Milan to win CL. Are these difficult predictions?
I heard Dunphy call Frank Lampard an ordinary or average player (somethin down those lines) before the Bayern game in which Lampard netted twice.
But it just would'nt be the same without him, if the match is sh*t you stay tuned to hear Dunphy stick the boot in at the end.
Actually, I've changed my mind, where did he pull that one out of? Chelsea to win the Premiership, Milan to win the CL? The mans a genius  :DQuote:
