Parking around Thomond.

Just spotted this on the FAI website:

A Park & Ride facility is available for spectators from 3.30pm on each matchday

at the following locations:

· Kilmurry Lodge – Dublin Road

· Radisson Hotel – Ennis Road

· Punches Hotel – Punches Cross – South Circular Road

· Maldron Hotel – South City Roxboro

· Absolut Hotel – City Centre

· Travel Lodge – Dublin Road


Price: €5 return

Pretty sure its €5 per person. Think i saw it say per person on either the fai website or limerickparkandride.com . Still not bad as it will save alot of hassle.

Whats the parking like in Corbally if you come in back road from O'Briens Bridge and how long of a walk from Corbally then to ground please.
Or is there parking if you come in from Parteen on long pavement road?Thanks.

Your talking between 25 minutes to half an hour to walk from corbally to thomond park. Think i have seen people park at the long pavement alright for Munster matches but can't be sure if there are yellow lines along that road. If there are then the gards might be out putting up tickets. If you can make it into town at all you are as well off parking in a car park there and walking from town, 15 to 20 minute walk then depending on the pace your walking.

I am off in 30 mins and hope to park in the Clarion car park as I have been told it's a 24 hour job .

I parked in Clare Street and walked. It was fine but you must have an olympic medal in walking. It took me around 30 minutes and I wasnt strolling! Its about 2 miles. The Park n Ride seemed to work ok as a number of the buses passed me.

Did I not mention I'm 6'7 and wear springboots?

Seriously though half an hour? Are you sure you didn't stop into JJ Bowles or the North Star for a quick half at the halfway?

The Park & Ride worked pretty well overall but they could have done with a few extra buses after the game. I spent a few minutes talking to some friends (who I hadn't seen since Sofia) and when we went outside we had to wait 25 minutes for a bus back to the Kilmurray Lodge.

Back to Dublin before 1am which wasn't too bad.
