A very good point. Also it shouldn't be too hard for the MFA to tidy up the advertising hoardings around the pitch. Some of them are in tatters and others are as old as the ground itself. Also something could be done with the muck at the side of the Shed (you're risking your life going out the turnstiles there), and the muck at the other end of the Derrynane Side.Quote:

These small things would make a big difference, especially on televised games.
Agree completely with neil. A tidy up (safety, safety!) and a lick of paint would see an immediate improvement - and such activities are hardly Government/FAI grant dependent, surely?Quote:

We'd be waiting a long time if we had to depend on the FAI or the government for the money. We'd probably have the money faster by having a crowd collection....
Maybe the club could have a painting & cleanup day, where any fan that comes along and helps out gets a free match tickets for a month!!! If anything it may get more people in the Cross.
Ya I think thats a great idea.It would be a bit like what Longford did before their European game at Flancare. It would be great to get the comunity involved.
Not to mention the fact that we'll have u-21 internationals at the Cross. it'll certainly open peoples eyes to the fact that there is a good ground locally and all that. And we might even get a B international like years ago as well!
