I watch him quite frequently. I'd make the point that playing behind such an attack minded midfield, the only player he can really pass to is whoever is in the holding role, either Kompany or De Jong. It's not that his distribution is bad, it's that he has noone to pass to.Quote:

Similar enough to your post about the United match-goers in another thread. I'm not of this opinion at all. Firstly, like the rest of us, match-goers are generally fairly divided. Secondly, I know some match-goers who I don't think have a clue dispite their loyalty. Thirdly, when it comes to the PL I definitely see enough of the regular starters to have my own opinion whereas I'd be more inclined to take others word for it in relation to the Eircom Lge, local soccer, etc.Quote:

Have a read of what those fans thought of him 18 month ago though. He had a bad year which imo was down to poor team selections but he's still as good as ever. Football fans are very fickle. I don't know many Celtic players that are fans favourite after having a poor season.Quote:

Still mentioned as the club captain in that article, I was under the impression that the captaincy had been offered to Barry as part of the transfer.

Dunne came off with an injury today in Man City's match with Kaizer Chiefs.
Hughes said in the post-match interview that it's an impact injury to the side of his knee.
Hopefully nothing major.

Am slightly biased on this one but I'd love to see him at Celtic and playing in the Champions League, I really do think that aside from some blips last season he's been one of the best Centre Halves in the EPL over the last 5 years and I think he deserves the chance to play in the Champions League so he can prove it on a wider stage
