I dont know about Peadar, but i think "paul o shea" walked home like we did. We were the lucky ones, walked as far as camden and then a friend came and got me and my colleagues. Sepnt the eveing like loads of other people staring at the TV. And like most people it was a case of getting on the tube this morning and getting on with it. the tube was silent, and very empty. everyone was pretty nervey, especially when euston got evacuated. Its going to happen a lot now becasue everyone is more aware. Im just looking forward to going home this evening.

Christ im the lucky one. I didnt see anything, i didnt get caught up in things really.
We watched and waited. We had to walk home, but who cares. At least i could get home. There is a horrible feeling in the city today, its a feeling of having to get on with it, like you said, we cant let them win. our tube driver stopped at kings cross this morning. its just an empty platform, but every single person on the tube, which admittedly was quieter than normal, bowed their head. No more that we can do right.

Its probably naiveity, or maybe its the fact im only 22, but i like most people with me yesterday were scared. scared for others and scared for what might happen next.

The next time i see the lights flicker in a tube station, or hear a station being closed i will think twice.
I personally will never forget July 7th 2005, or any of those poor people.

i think like tuff paddy says you just have to get on with it. i know its difficult for some but thats what you got to do. just woke up now, we were told not to come in, cant beleive you are in work louise. anyhow just looking at the news 6 still missing, but one guys phone was on til 3 yesterday, but no news from him, some people may be in such shock that they could be walking round london aimlessly, this happened in new york as well, when someone was located in a mental hospital 3 months later. bridget saw some guy at around caledonian road, just walking and saying i saw a bomb blown up in euston, but not saying it to anyone, just out loud, hope he got home ok also. :)

dont worry about getting the tube tonight, nothing is going to happen, you will be fine.

We were told today is another working day. Not very productive, and my boss is fine about me checking the sky news website constantly. Im not scared of being on the tube as such, i think everyone os just a bit nervey.

just heard on the bbc news there, a woman said the bus was pretty much empty that exploded, which says a lot, thank god for that, if it had been full that would have been a hell of a lot worse.

If that's the case why is it taking so long for them to confirm the number of deaths at that location?

exactly. I can only assume its a long slow process due to identifying people as well as the forensic side of things. I dont think its need to be spelled out why identification could be taking so long.

Fair point, although there's a difference between identifying people and counting them. No Paul, I don't think they have capped it at 50. The last official comment I've seen says it's more likely to be 50 than the current official 37, but it won't be more than 100.

As it's now looking less and less likely to have been the work of suicide bombers -these assh0les are on the loose.

according to met commissioner Ian Blair there's nothing to suggest the bombs were the work of suicide bombers.

Seemingly the ones on the trains were on the floor and they're pretty certain the one on the bus was on a seat in a "metal box". That would dovetail with a report that the bus was less than full as I'm guessing a suicide bomber would try and take as many with him a s possible.

Am doing ok today-was in Jurys Inn across from Kings Cross 2 nights before with a load of mates on SJA event-in a way it's a shame we couldn't help at all. Hope you are doing ok Peader and all other Londoners-am heading up on Sunday for VE day parade-show the *******s we won't be moved.

I know i'm a few miles outside London but from updates from both the news and friends it is obvious that the Police, Fire and Ambulance services were amazing. Ken Livingston could not have been more right about the clockwork running of the plans. I also want to say well done to St. John Ambulance and the Red Cross-while the NHS ambulances from the surrounding counties headed to London these two took 999 calls from the counties-In Surrey 10 NHS Ambulances left to London and were replaced almost immediatly by 6 St. John and 2 Red Cross Ambulances. By all accounts the blood service did a smashing job getting blood to the attack sights. The Salvation Army also set up vans with food, water, people to talk to-these are the kind of organisations that often get forgotten but did an amazing job yesterday. The hotels were also incredible from what I hear-providing blankets, water etc.
My brother was in Hatfield 4 years ago and I've seen how amazing all these people are and what a great job the do and did again on Saturday. Anyone involved/with relatives involved should be really proud.

I give blood regularly anyway, but when someohting like this happens on your doorstep, it makes you realise how important it is that as many people as possible give blood. The emergency services derve a huge amount of praise. Many nurses were caught in the blasts, but still went on to help others.

Wasn't affected myself personally yesterday in all the mayhem my brother had all the travel nightmares though and had too call it a day on getting to work yesterday morning, but today I have been caught in the spill over that has been everybody taking to the roads and motorways and the motorways were just gridlock.

Was in Collage for four hours this morning, and the transport was fine, got a train from Edmonton in North London to Liverpool Street bang on 07.10 like it should be Which on a normal day and not being funny never happens, and then a central line train to Leytonstone in East London and everything went great and was into collage in less than an hour, trains were empty and Liverpool Street had Police everywhere, but the transport seems to be nearly back to normal.

When I went into work in the afternoon different story, there's been reports all day about the transport but people have just been taking to the roads, the motorways have been like something out of the movie Independence day with traffc just siting for hours, meself included.
