No not based on one league cup game. Based on looking at your first 11 and only really being impressed by Flood, Fagan, Brennan and O'Brien.

Why is called the league cup when non league clubs are in it? at least a few years ago it had a league in the group stages. I think they would be better getting rid of the league cup altogether and expanding the sentanta cup because the way its going no one really takes either cup to seriously.
Four more than impressed me in shels team - in fairness Paisley was good last night. Congrats on your win last night but a simple glance at league tables and/or recent results show your "view" on respective teams to be delusional. Really believe that Heary, Bayly or either keeper would not get a game for Shels ? Price has been among the best defenders in premier this season, not good enough for Shels ?
i really like the league cup.
i like every competition we're in though.
Anyone know when is the draw for the next round?
I like it. Its another chance to play teams you may not play through the league season and to try out other players. At the end of the day its another game (or games) of live football to go watch which is great and there is always a good chance of a first division team having a day out at a final. Wexford, Monaghan and Waterford all recently. Its never a big deal to be knocked out of it but its nice to do well in a cup also.
The point i'm trying to make here is the book stops with the FAI they have to get the finger out on the prize money. I know i'm not comparing like with like here but the winner of the national yesterday got €250,000 for winning the race, now thats a competition worth winning!!
You were playing our reserve team last night, with the addition of 2 or 3 first-teamers. Neither keeper would get in ahead of Delaney, then I can quite comfortably counter the players you mentioned with Conan Byrne, Lorcan Fitzgerald, David Cassidy, Stephen Paisley, Andy Boyle and Brendan McGill who would also walk into the Bohs team.
The Horsey industry is driven by gambling and tax breaks though. Football can only really drawn from funds generated by the sport and in this country most of that goes directly to England. As long as the FAI is busy paying off a stadium, they're probably never going to be in a position to offer the prize money of 5 years ago.
Some good points their Charlie, but such crap money being offered for the LC is basiclly giving the two fingers to all the clubs involved imho.
I'm sure the FAI could come up with 101 reasons why they are giving pittence. But the bottom line this situation needs to change.:(
Trophies should be worth winning regardless of prize money. As long as clubs aren't losing money I see no reason to complain
I know where your comming from Dodge prestige, but I think you need a carrot. If Galway knew they could win €60,000 form winning the LC do you think they would have been slaughtered by Cockhall Celtic, I doubt it as it could have hypothetically gone along way to saving the club.
How do u think the LC can be improved Dodge?
