here for waiting times and pass rates by centre -some are easier than others by some margin
Get a letter from work on headed paper saying that they need you to drive for them urgently, that should help quicken up the proccess (it worked for anyone I done it for anyway).
Well obviously you need to know how to drive and have a good, clear understanding of the rules of the road!!! Get a letter from work, or just ring and ask for a cancellation, do a load of pre-tests and one on the day of the test and you should be fine!
Then again, I did 2 pre-tests, one about 6 months before my test and one 2 days before, did the test, and passed first time!!!

and here was me thinking i was the only one who did that!!
Ah Crap. I've been waiting almost a year for a test in finglas and it's only got a 45% pass rate
Cheers.
Whats a pre test and how can you do it?
Which is it?
The Driver Testing Section is in Mayo and the west of Ireland has some of the highest pass rates. Strange coincidence...
Ballina 56.6
Buncrana 65.2
Carrick-On-Shannon 59.7
Clifden 63.3
Ennis 64.9
Galway 63.0
Loughrea 63.1
Roscommon 61.3
Shannon 68.2
Tuam 65.5
If you need it for work, and you are willing to accept cancellations meaning you could have very little notice. I accepted this and got my test within the month. However this was 8 years ago :).
Forge a letter from the HSE and say you're an ambulance driver.....and that you really really need the licence for work.
Just passed my driving test first go this morning. Delighted:).
Once you've applied you can get the cancellation within a month, otherwise the letter from work will do it.
Would it work if you didn't have a letter and just said you'd accept a cancellation?
Failed it over here in london last year, went home last thursday did a days driving , sat it on friday and passed. Its ridiculously simple to england, but a fella who is an instrutctor in my home town said it is going to be adapted like England. YOu arent allowed any majors( or seriouses = pinks, majors = blue in england) in England, yet you are allowed 9 in Ireland.....add to that you are only allowed up to 15 minors.Quote:
