Queen for me. What's eveyone else think?
Creedence, the Kinks or the Beatles, can't decide which
By old bands i take it ya mean from the 60s/70s era?
My Top 5 would be:
1. The Doors
2. The Rolling Stones
3. Led Zepplin
4. The Kinks
5. The Who
The Beatles
The Kinks
Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy, Led Zepplin
The best bands are the old punk bands like The Clash and my brudders the Ramones and English sixties bands like the Beatles, The Who and The Kinks.
Two words: Parliament-Funkadelic.
Class act all the way.
These days I find I've given up entirely on the honkies of today and have taken refuge in the classic reggae of the 70s, which probably qualifies as "old" to most of you: U Roy, Culture, Sly & Robbie, King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, Augustus Pablo, Dennis Brown, even the odd spot of Prince Far I if I'm feeling particularly apocalyptic. White mon cyaan dance.
Thin Lizzy
I don't really know what constitutes an old band - is it a band made up of old people or a band that were around years ago.
Presuming its the later I'll go with the Stones. If its the former there's a great jazz band here in Galway made up of old men and they get the nod.
A lot of Motown and Stax artists. 60's Ska. Captain Beefheart. The Fall have been around the block. KraftWerk. Marvin Gaye.
What exactly is the criteria? The Specials were a '70s band. Are Pulp an old band? It's a bit vague. I'm sure to some people the Stone Roses are an old band. The Wedding Present are hitting 20 years; that's surely old in band years. Even Belle & Sebastian are getting on a bit.
the beach boys, beatles and the who...
The Electric Prunes,NEU,and Tommy McCrook & the Supersonics.
The Who, Small Faces, Led Zeplin & Lynard Skynard
What do you define as old?

Spencer Davis Group
Beatles (Rubber Soul onwards)
Dexys Midnight Runners
The Style Council
