What the hell is Darren Kelly doing joining Portadown ? He's signed a 2-year contract at Shamrock Park.
Last I heard he was hoping to stay-on in England. Was no-one in the Eircom League after him ? Why didn't Derry get him again ? I know our defence is good, but he's a local boy and a quality player so thought we'd at least be interested.
Maybe if we'd had a manager to do the work for us....! :p
Derry had talks with him and offered him a package, he went back to Portadown and they offered more. End of story really. We dont need anymore defenders anyway, its midfield and up front we need more cover.Quote:

Some of the Portadown people mentioned that figure to LTFC officials at the UEFA draw, they reckoned he was worth every penny and the fans would kill them if he was ever sold..Dont care who he is that kind of money for part time is lunacy.
