CCFC Board of Directors businessmen
Thinking of how we brought all the news players in this year for nada reminded me of last year.....
Last year the Board got in Mountfield (probably costing more than Gunther does now), Commerical Manager & paid big money (in ccfc & eL terms) for Devine & Mulligan. And they also made a good few more players fulltime.
The question is how the Directors thought last season they could pay for all this & continue to pay for it whilst this year the clubs taken a big step back.
I know crowds were better a couple of seasons ago but did we think they could continue at that level? Didn't these businessmen plan for a lean team rebuilding season when crowds would drop off & success on the pitch would take time?
We've all said it before but how could these apparently successive businessmen woith their own companies etc... be so naive to expect instant success with CCFC. Could they be just clueless about football? Suppose if they attended afew more games they might learn something?

ah come on pete in all fairness Terry Dunne turned up at the away game in galway there a few months ago and before that wasnt he at the celtic pre-season game...and anyway Sunday is for playing golf..these are busy men you must remember :D
Guys ... who actually is there though
Who actually is there on Sunday, (Home Games) Brian Lennox is always there, i am certain of that.
Michael O'Leary i would have thought is always there. I have seen him at nearly every game, unless i am mistaken.
Terry Dunne was at the cross a good few times while at the reigns and he is from Kerry.
I think there is a good few "offical" members there alright, but i agree, they will never learn anything while they are swilling bottles of bubbley and stuffin' their faces with prawn sambos. :D :D
