I agree with you that the 4-5-1 is the best suited formation but attacking through my two wingers would not really be an option as although they are extremely quick they just won't attack, they are too defensive. I've worked on it again and again but to no avail. In regards to pushing the attacking midfielder on i just think it still lacks the bite we're looking for. The idea of 3-1-3-1-2 was that when attacking the chosen two, defensive mid and attackin mid move up a position and while defending they drop back allowing 4-4-2. Defensive acts as a Makelle in front of three then slots in to form a back four, the attacking mid moves up to support the strikers. The two strikers play up but a small bit wider and thus creating space for the centre mid to burst through. Again good on paper but it match siyuation i dont know. all comes down to discipline on the park and knowledge of positions. Leaves exposed on wings tho
