    Krakow

I'm going on a stag do there in a few weeks. Has anyone been and know what is good to do? I'd love to visit Auschwitz while I'm there but it's hardly a stag thing to do. Any recommendations about what sights are worth a gander?

You'll have great fun if you go to look at sights. There is an excellent city tour http://www.cracowcitytours.pl/ the salt mines are amazing, especially the impact of the cathedral, if it can be termed thus. I never had time to go drinking or partying there, however a colleague across the office tells me that it's wild, a little dangerous and a centre of some mafia I can't pronounce!

Krakow is amazing, you'll really enjoy it. I recommended it here to someone and there is also a thread here you might find useful.

Also, I know it's a stag-do, but if you can possibly make the time, you really should visit Auschwitz. You won't regret it and you won't forget it.

Ah brilliant, whoops should of checked if its already been mentioned. Apparently they've lined up a trip to a gun range aswell so should be good craic. Really looking forward to it now, there's a large group of Derry heads going so should be a mental few days.

I'm afraid someone has beat ya to it ha it's on the list of places to go but cheers for the tip. Speaking of Krakow, anyone know where's usually good for exchange rates? I had it in my head the local currency was euros, turns out I'm completely wrong! Who's usually the best for exchange rates- Credit Unions/Post Offices/any particular bank/ bureau de change type place? Preferably in Nordie land or Donegal please
