did this make a splash in ireland? the post-apocalyptic cormac mccarthy book -now big budget film? movie's got viggo mortensen in it, a child actor i don't know, and omar from the wire. directed by the aussie director of The Proposition i believe (that had a soundtrack by nick cave i think). hard to turn something so poetic into ninety minutes of ... anything i would imagine. and the trailers don't look that encouraging but it's probably one that i'll have to see before netflixing it:
