    Web Design

    Not sure where to put this thread so i put it here.Was wondering do any of ye know anything about web page design etc.Would i need to do an evening course etc to know what to do or could a decent book tell me all i need to know?Might do an evening course in GMIT.
    Any help appreciated.

    "Web design" is kind of deprecated, the industry has fragmented into many different skillsets. See my response to Pauro 76 on this topic recently.

      it depends what you want to do it for.

      if you are trying to do it, to get into the profession then a course would be suitable. If however its just for fun then a book and the internet is all you need.

      Try to be a bit more specific and then I'll(We'll) be able help you better and answers your question more appropriately.

        Started learning a bit about it a few weeks ago, and the Dreamweaver/Dummies' Guide to Dreamweaver book combo is going well as I needed to hit the ground running for a friend's basic website design. But the lads here will help ya on your way alright. I haven't even gone near codes yet which I really should do.
