To be a bitch and not let men walk over me like they seem to. Bitches get what they want in life so gonna stop being a softy.

Drink more alcohol. Been given strange alcoholic drinks two years running in office Kris Kindle so I might as well make an effort.

You are a really nice guy, thing is if there were more of you there would be no need for me to be such a bitch! Am doing well so far, am gonna sue the taxi company that dumped my drunken lil bro a mile from the house forcing him to run down a country road, fall, smash his collar bone and bust his head open. Feck sake he coulda died. Really really annoyed about this. Gonna do something about it too. A young girl died in Monaghan just over a year ago from a similar incident and I really cant understand why the taxi didnt leave him home. Gits.

Anyway thats the first of many rants I will be having as I rev up my bitchiness.

Good point. Why make resolutions at new year? If you want to do something do it!

Because it's a natural start point to any life-changing decision that might help people who are wavering over making a change to go ahead and make it.
It's like the deep breath before a dive, or that silly backward movement some people do before they start running.
The custom of resolutions may help some small few people, and it certainly won't harm anyone, so I don't have anything against it even though I rarely make 'em meself either. Except my standing order one which is to be even nicer every year!

Thats debatable. A lot of people go on rash ill thought out diets and end up putting on more weight when they fail. People who give up smoking as a new years resolution are also statisticly more likely to fail as once they break the resolution once they think "oh well its broken now" where others may have a drunken smoke, feel guilty and hop straight back on the wagon.
Also see the advertisers playing on people's insecurities this time of year with adds bombarding your senses about dieting, getting a better job etc. etc.

Agree that advertisers take advantage of people, but I dont see how that is the fault of January first.

I think a lot of people who want to change their lives in some way are waiting for something to "jumpstart" that change, and Jan 1st is a useful point.

All in all, it doesnt do anybody any harm
