The Departed (spoilers inside)

The Departed is nothing to do with Whitey Bulger (who incidentally is meant to be in hiding in Mayo) Scorsese has merely put the Infernal Affirs story in a Boston setting.

thats crap, they said before it was galway. the size of mayo, someone would notice a yank moving it with a quare one fairly quickly and start to ask questions, the locals are the best detectives there....i.e. no one has a clue!

Went to see it last wednesday and have to agree with you guys,best film i have seen in a while.
Great soundtrack aswell....Dropkick Murphy=Class.

It was a great soundtrack alrite apart from that dropkick murphys dirge in the middle of it...just horrible...
best bit is the Van singing pink floyd with guy from pink floyd and the band...

Its not an irish gangster movie. Its a gangster movie and they happen to be Irish. Knowing Oirish americans thats exactly the type of t-shirt they'd wear. (Not all of you lads, calm down!)

Oh and I loved the ending

yep always interested me, as i had read up a lot on it when i was in boston years ago, and i knew that The Departed written by a southie guy was pretty much based on him.

Anyway cant wait to see what he looks like now, supposedly sick too so be interesting to see what happens.
