    2nd hand TVs

Lads our 32" TV Black Diamond TV is on its last legs and is switiching itself on and off all the time and the picture is going also. Anybody have any advice on where to buy a 32 inch tube TV. I want to get one in time for the World Cup.

Some of the world cup will be in high definition I beleive (not 100% sure though) so that might be something to consider?
It may depend on how you get the signal though ( sky, cable DTT etc..).

You'd be doing well to get HD before the WC starts, isn't there a mad waiting time???

Don't buy a tube TV - it'd be like looking to buy a VHS player a couple of years ago.

Flat screens TV's are the way forward, and if it's a 32" you're after then they're not too expensive. The idea of people having TV's with huge arses will seem really weird in only a couple of years time.

If you do go flat-screen get an LCD. Picture quality is much better than Plasma, as is longevity. Would also recommend HD in order to 'future proof' your purchase.

By the sounds of it, the guy wants a TV cheap.
Try Cash Converters on Thomas St./Francis St.
Places like that usually have good deals.

What exactly is wrong with LCD Anto ? Why is it rubbish ? Is it the noticeably enhanced picture quality and the relatively infinite life of the screen, versus the limited life-span of a traditional CRT TV screen ? Is it the dramatically reduced space they require ?

Don't bother with DVD, CD, MP3, Unleaded, electric or digital anything either. B'ah humbug - bring back candle-light and the horse and cart.....

The irony is he suggests getting HD but recommends an "old" TV.....

Although there will be some traditional CRT and new "Shallow Tube" CRT's available with HD capabilities, the most significant advances will take place in the Plasma/LCD/Projector areas.

Nothing - wireless referred to radios not TV's.....
