Congratulations Hamish

Just for those of you that weren't informed; every year Athlone Town FC presents a special award to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Club.

This year, it was our privilege to present the award to Mr. Noel Gannon, in recognition of his many years as "the best PRO the Club has ever had".

I can reliably inform you that Hamish is the exact same character offline, as he is on here. He wasn't in the door two minutes before he was recalling old stories amongst his old buddies, like the time he walked into a parking meter in Dublin! And subsequently apologised to said parking meter!

Unfortunately he wants to maintain his mystique, and won't let me post any of the photos I took. So you'll have to badger him yourself if you want to see them.

Delighted to finally meet you Hamish, and I'm sure everyone here will join me in congratulating you on your award.

Over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I've imbibed enough red wine to drive the French wine industry into record profits.

Just back and straight into a wonderful reception for poor Georgie at The Boleyn Ground and a smashing Irons goal after 50 seconds. Perhaps it was fated that Man. Yooo would win today but it aint gonna spoil a great weekend.
