www.xfm.co.uk is good too, if phantom is your preferred type of musicCork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007. -
There are a multitude of radio stations available online. If you are looking for a solid irish indie radio station you will be found wanting unless you go online. KRCW I think has numerous class stations. For all your League of Ireland news - www.extratime.ieComment

Yeah thats what happened with Spin. When was the last time you heard a proper dance tune there? Phatom would be ruined if it came back commercialised. I found it strange that nothing replaced it, filled the void like always happend with dnace stations (Sunset turned into Pulse and Pulse into ESG etc). Most listening happens in car so web is no help. 2fm are the only station that will play anything off the beaten track but then usually follow it up with something crap. Yer one from America who used to be on Phantom plays good music on Friday evening and I trust Dave Fannings good for a tune but thats it.Originally posted by joeSoapIts been awarded a commercial broadcasting licence, so it might get a little too gimmicky now, but I hope not.

cheers lads, good feedback there. i find that 2fm is great at certain times, always listen to Jennie Heuston, Tom Dunne, Dave Fanning and Cormac Battle, they play class music but during the daytime there's absolutely nothing to listen to. cant understand why the indie music fan isnt catered for during the daytime!
You gotta do what Randall Pink Floyd wants to do man. Let me tell you this, the older you do get the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N.Comment

Ok who I would be willing to listen to:
Jenny Huston,
Alison Curtis,
Tom Dunne,
Cormac Battle,
Rick O'Shea plays good stuff on his show 10-12.
I would rarely if ever move my dial to 98fm, Fm104, Spin, or Lite. I would more often have it to 2FM, todayFm and Newstalk. with a bit of Radio One.For all your League of Ireland news - www.extratime.ieComment

Gareth, or anyone,
Try 'Anocht FM' on RnaG after 9pm. They have a good mix. John Kelly's 'Mystery Train' is also worth a listen.
I like the last splash, but never seem to be in the car on Sunday nights, and don't listen to much radio at home.Ceci n'est pas une signatureComment

I meant to put down John Kelly. Haha AM Kelly, one night I was awake and unable to sleep and she was on and recommended a website so I logged on and checked it but she misread the address and got a Penial Enlargement site. For all your League of Ireland news - www.extratime.ieComment

My mate is a DJ for phantom and they are in a load of legal bull surrounding the new licence. but it looks like they are coming out of that now and will be broadcasting by the summer...don't quote me on that though..Comment

I really hope that they don't end up like XFM, who just went too commercial.
It's a pity more of these stations wouldn't broadcast via satellite rather than simply webcast. Although I think a few are starting in the near future (LMFM and a few other regional stations). If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.Comment
