BTW: I have seen a new low, the last few mornings the cops have been pulling cars on the northbound approach to the port tunnel as the cars are slowing down anyway , this is in addition to the white van with a camera pointing out the back window which seems to be permanently parked on under the bridges in the 80k zone on the M1 between the tunnel and the ariport this must be a great cash cow as it certanly doesnt slow many people down.
I got caught there. They pulled 4 cars in a row in. Speed limit drops from 80 to 50 just in front of the toll plaza. Shooting fish in a barrel and an easy way to hit targets.

I don't think there going to be left near estates in city centers, they will be put out on the main roads and i can't see many families out the country doing anything like that around there area's!
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D

Exactly. It's not like the one they already have has been nicked every other week, is it?

Maybe Foot.ie needs a 'Cut Out' of John83 at the beginning of each post...
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

This cardboard cut-out idea has been used in the UK in the past as well.
Apparantly it does work because when drivers see it at first they slow down, but only realise when they get closer that its not real, but it has already had the desired effect.
It needs to be moved around regularly cos obviously if its always in the same place it will fool nobody. The real deal should be parked there every so often too just to keep us on our toes.

I've driven by it a few times over the past week. Everyone slows down.
