Erling Haland - son of Alfie - looks like he's going to be a huge player.

9 goals in the U20 World Cup earlier this year against Honduras.
Scored a hat-trick on his CL debut tonight for Red Bull Salzburg; first player to do that since Rooney.
It's his fourth hat-trick of the season - he's scored 17 goals in the first 9 games of 2019/20, which is incredible stuff

And it all started with not scoring against UCD in the Youth League less than 2 years ago!

Just trying to keep the guy grounded is all!

Serious career ahead of him surely, and he'll need someone like Conor Kearns to keep it all in focus at times

Linlithgow Rose 1-2 Falkirk in the Scottish Cup this evening.

Conor Sammon with two for Falkirk. Tommy Coyne with the reply for Rose. It's Tommy's son, who is their record scorer (or he was close to it two years ago anyway), with close on 300 goals for the club in 11 seasons.

I see yesterday that ex Celtic and Albanian ledgend Rudi Vata's son, Rocco Vata - has made his debut for his adopted Country's U-15 side.

His adopted country? - The Republic of Ireland!

Signed for Dortmund over the winter, after 28 goals in 22 games for Salzburg, including 8 in the CL group stages.

Came on as a sub for his debut today after 56 minutes, with them 3-1 down away to Augsburg.

                      Takes 181 seconds to score.

Adds another two inside 20 minutes.

                      Dortmund win 5-3.

                      Couldn't score against UCD U19s.

May need to change the thread title - Ian Wright's grandson, D'Margio Wright-Phillips, started for Stoke today in their win over Wigan.

He's Shaun's son - and I suppose technically not Ian's biological grandson (as Shaun was adopted), so maybe the title is ok. For now...

Can we go one better than grandson of someone you've heard of?

Yep - Reading defender Nesta Guinness-Walker is Sir Alec Guinness' great-grandson.

                          Blimey.

James Carragher, son of Jamie, made his senior debut for Oldham last month. He's on loan there from Wigan
