356 in MH Park last night. Lowest home crowd AFAIK. On current form the so-called experienced signings are a bunch of mercenaries. Players who've come through the youth teams have been sidelined. Locals have been left with a team they can't identify with. All Kerry needed was a sprinkling of experience to try and guide them to better consistency towards the playoffs.
If the current situation hasn't improved by the halfway mark, Kerry will have to cut their losses. They'll have to bring in a manager who can work with a majority of players who've come through the youth teams. Signings who are not performing will have to be dropped from the matchday squad and ideally leave the club for somewhere else.

    A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined.
First Division 2014: 7 first teams and a B team.
Opportunity lost for new clubs to join GLITW.

Nice jazzy new forum so I thought I'd put forth my tuppence for a change.
Straightforward win for the Champions last night against meagre opposition. The blending of youth into this Rovers team is a real injection (?) of energy and vitality and provides a clear signal to all and sundry that the production line is continuing to produce.
Victor had his best game imo, McGinty showed why he's the league best, and Jack Byrne was given enough room on a small pitch to conduct a Rovers victory.
I still think Rovers need a clinical option up front for when Europe rolls around, but in league terms I think we have the measure of any opposition, and will overcome the inevitable loss to boez (?) on Friday.
      Tally ho.

Bohs were terrible last night. At one point in the first half they had the ball for about 3 minutes and never threatened Sligo. Missed chances came back to haunt us. Sligo to be fair, played the system very well and deserved the win.

The standard of the refs in the first division is dreadful. I know its an impossible job and there is no way I would ref but every game seems to be about them. Seven yellows in the Kerry Ucd game last night is a joke. Constant blowing the whistle. No flow to the games. Its making some games unwatchable. Rant over.
On the game Ucd were the better side and Kerry academy Keeper Harvey Mangan made some fine saves on his debut. In fairness Kerry kept at it and scored a deflected equaliser at the death. Good point in the end.

Deserved win for Cobh in Finn park last night ,Harps were dreadful and unfortunately it’s going to be the same story as last year if you follow up what would be considered 2 decent points against Cork and Bray with a result and performance like that….
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.

That was two points dropped last night for Dundalk. Derry came out for the second half to try and hold on to the lead but were abysmal. Having not seen Derry since the first game, although they have been on a poor run, I couldn’t believe how poor they were. James McClean came on for a good part of the second half and I’m not sure he had more than one or two touches and managed to get two yellow cards.

Dundalk were excellent in the second half and really should’ve won the game. Teahan made a big impact when he came on and took his goal well.

It’s amazing how much positivity there is around the place and it’s all coming from a team and manager who are all on the same page and all working hard together. There are so many of those players who I thought would really struggle in the Premier but Kilduff is really getting the best out of all of them. The buzz around oriel is very reminiscent of Kenny’s first season with an unheralded group of players playing with positivity and without fear.

Dreadful game in Finn Park that should never have went ahead in the first place. Atrocious conditions and an already bad pitch is completely destroyed now.

A terrible crowd, a loss, and a wrecked pitch leaves it a costly night for Harps.

Only for the fact that we travelled the length of the country would the game have been rightly pulled, very pleasantly surprised at how we adapted to the conditions in the second half, I was expecting an onslaught in the second half from Harps but very happy with how it worked out for us.

Dreadful conditions for a football match last night and one of the worst attendances in Finn Park I can remember is a very long time. But can't blame any of that as Cobh grinned out a much deserved win where Harps were completely lacking of any creative element especially in the 2nd half

Left shortly after the 80 min mark as there was a break in the downpour and decided to get home before it started up again, just got to top of Navenny street when my phone pinged that Cobh went 2 up
