I think it was this thread that a few websites took their attendances reporting from too. It's always interesting to see how things are going and if there are any trends. I'm sure there is plenty of effort that goes in to it and probably very frustrating if numbers arent released by clubs. Always a source of debate and shows where people can overestimate crowds. Ive often taken to do a head count especially on the away terrace in Oriel. An initial impression is usually higher than a rough headcount which is why Ive tended to take crowds in Oriel to be closer to the official announced numbers than the often 'there was more than 2000 at x game. It wouldnt surprise me if the FAI took figures from here too to claim improving trends. A lot of people appreciate the effort Nigel and not just those of us who post here imo!

Clubs have to report attendances to the FAI even if they don't release them publicly so whatever the FAI says is what the club said. Whether they're accurate though...I think it was this thread that a few websites took their attendances reporting from too. The stand itself holds around 2800 though so even with handfuls of empty spaces the figure given seems far too low. We don't count season ticket holders as part of the attendance though which may have something to do with that.
Re the question above about the shed: it's actually due to be knocked down soon, not sure on what the plan is after that though. It's ramshackled state is why they're so hesitant to let away fans underneath it despite cases such as the weather on Friday. Seems flawed if they eventually cave in and allow fans under it regardless but that's the official stance anyway.
Main stand holds about 1,800, stand behind the goal holds about 1,000 as I understand so 2,800 seats total."If you don't work harder I'll pull you off at halftime,"

I know some Limerick fans have made the point already, but I think 600 more realistic for crowd at Eamon Deacy ParK the other night. Now if season tickets are included, official figure makes sense.
Interesting will all the publicity this well will increase the crowds going to LoI matches?Comment

Sure figures of arounf 100k is nothing to the FAI to bandy about and make things seem all eh ok!Comment

2,406 in the Cross.
The lowest yet this season, but not for long!...Schwanholz, Herisau: a little bit of heaven...Comment

2800 at tallaght, very surprised at that, looked more than the UCD game to me, good support from Waterford 150 plusComment

Decent crowd when you were competing against a football occasion in the Aviva, hevily promoted by our national broadcaster and our national organisation responsible for the league.Comment

Yes,fully aware of the worthiness.Just commenting on the fact that the timing was approved by the, FAI directly on a full league match night
For example,Liam Miller's went ahead on a non match night, and the FAI has vetoed any number of proposed friendlies on the grounds that they clashed with competitive fixtures
Anyway , money raised and precedent established, all good.Comment

Same here, this is always my favorite thread - hoping Nigel can keep up the good work for many more seasons.
As far as other sources, if you are on instagram, @loimedia posts comprehensive weekly details on attendances -- worth a look IMO. I've been tracking these this season and have a chart of the season so far, I'll try to post it when I'm back in work next weekhttp://trophymanager.com/?c=489688
Trophy Manager - online football managment game - I like it - I think I'm getting obsessed with it though.Comment
