Who was meant to sign for Village this summer but went to Doolans Cow? I agree they have bein gutted with the four Cow lads heading back big big losses for them especially Jamie. Village will struggle big time now, any talk or any new signings for them? Knocka could be Coachford main contenders next season by all the talk.

AUL as usual will be last to follow everyone else. Can see them having a short season, similar to be CBL at the end of 25/26 season. Summer football is coming in 2028 whether we like it or notComment

AUL will vote on it next June. At least they are voting. CBL teams got no choice. Limerick leagues have also not implemented it yet.Comment

Some figures below following the league meetings held across the country during April & early May;
32% of leagues already playing a calendar season
27% have agreed to transition (Phased Approach between 2026 & 2028)
16% are undecided but have agreed to continue consulting with FAI & clubs
25% currently informing the FAI they won’t transition to a calendar season
12 of those 17 leagues wouldn’t meet the FAI to hear what an aligned registration period means!Comment

FAI are trying to bully this through and it’s scandalous withheld funding for Kennedy Cup & Gaynor teams.Some figures below following the league meetings held across the country during April & early May;

Threatening to withdraw safeguarding, Vetting, referees and potential support required for sport capital funding unless they agree to the calendar season they should be ashamed of their carry on.
The leagues should be allowed to choose their own calendar.
This years under 12s should be the first to move across as part of the FAI’ proposed new
Pathway the cork school boys league will continue as normal and run the under 12s in the traditional system ignoring the new pathway.
Their members do not want it.Comment

No point having a vote if its going to happen anyway. If the majority voted against it it's still going to go ahead.Comment

It’s going to happen regardless, lads can change or stop playing, it’s unfortunate but it is what it isComment

How will they struggle. They got to AOH final 2 years ago without the shipping league players . 3 brilliant youngfellas are after signing and a keeper . No fair of village with 30 years why will that start struggling nowWho was meant to sign for Village this summer but went to Doolans Cow?
