The few that left castleview fc to go to knocknaheeney celtic are gone back to castleview fc apparently all not well in the knocknaheeney camp and players not buying in to managers ideas and philosophy either on the astro turf castleview fc are gonna be calling all the shots on this it is there land that it's been built on all our clubs are gonna play second fiddle to it because with and see the senior side will have priority over aul clubs and the junior and school boy/girls section will be playing/training etc on it watch this space.

Money put in by AUL to the 2 million is pittance. They won't have ownership. But its huge money got what they have to be fronting up.
They will be able to have cup finals there and off peak time slots.
Saturday evenings, Sunday afternoons, etc.Comment

Ok I’ve heard different about the Astro and the AULS levels of use.The few that left castleview fc to go to knocknaheeney celtic are gone back to castleview fc apparently all not well in the knocknaheeney camp and players not buying in to managers ideas and philosophy either on the astro turf castleview fc are gonna be calling all the shots on this it is there land that it's been built on all our clubs are gonna play second fiddle to it because with and see the senior side will have priority over aul clubs and the junior and school boy/girls section will be playing/training etc on it watch this space.
But let’s say you are correct what’s the AULS entitled to?
And where is the money coming from to build it?Comment

Castleview have 2 other Grass pitches. Thats 8 teams at one giving time can play up there . Over 6 hours on a Saturday u could hold 24 Teams should be plenty of room for whatever the Aul need in my opinion.
Cant Fault the Aul for trying regradless of the Argreement no other league has a place to call home.Comment

I personally used to despise playing on Astro, I get that it’s needed for games to go ahead especially after the fiasco last season, but will the teams up there be using that as their default pitch for home games like mayfield united seem to do? That will get in the way as well if they doComment

I see another team has left the CBL , place literally is falling apart over there . They will have great media presence but only Grangevale playing at the rate they are goingComment

Teams will go and come over there. From what I've told they've gained teams.
We are all well aware that problem having been at 120 teams. Bohemians, Blarney Street, Ard na Laoi, Glenvale, etc.
The problem with it is the value of promotion and relegation each year. Corkbeg in Premier A and Watergrasshill in Premier. Changes that weren't at end of season successes and failures. Maybe AUL should look at cutting D3. It's as bare up top as ever.
So much potential to promote the league. Outside of Barry, there hasn't been.
As a previous poster said, we've a few clubs and mostly teams. If the clubs moved on to MSL like they should, we'd be all teams.Comment

I think they will always have a fair turnover of teams. Decent teams will probably move on outta there cos will get fed up and will fancy a challenge but there will always be a john graces fried chicken fc that fancies a year kicking ball with their buddies to fill out their teamsComment

I am hearing a fair few clubs/teams in the MSL struggling as well. Casement supposed to have folded . Buttevant and glasheen struggling as well I am led to believeTeams will go and come over there. From what I've told they've gained teams.

Ya it's dissapointing for clubs with good history going bust. Some looking to go Junior. Lots of factors with generations of 18+ coming out of youths not sticking at it or brought up by club either.Comment

Along with that a lot more younger people going travelling now and the amount of teams around are crazy trying to hold onto lads. Better players will be poached by the household names in MSL. It’s just how it is, a lot of clubs named in earlier post are around a long time so it’s a shame to see.
Any update on FAI Connect clampdown in the AUL this year will it be compulsory in every game?Comment
